Premier League Discussion Thread 2013/14

Can i just say to any UTD fans on here HA HA HA HA HA HA ps i hate da manc scum, big love xxx

God Utd were terrible. Flat as i've seen them, even more so than against Liverpool.
So far Moyes has given me the impression he's out of his depth and nothing i saw today changes that. Yes, a new manager will take time to adapt at a new club, but this isn't a bunch of sunday league muppets he's got, this is the team that won the fecking PL last year.

His post match interview just reeked of resignation. At least auld **** face wud come out and blame the ref of some stupid tackle/decision, you knew he'd be seething and demanding a response in the next game. Moyes just looks like a deer in the headlights.

Long may it continue!

Oh and agreed on ass-pass nick.
Why waste 6-7 million on him when we already had a useless muppet like Borini?

**** me what a hiding! Fergie to come out of retirement then?

Still annoyed as hell about how Liverpool played though, didn't even look like they wanted to win on Saturday.

Well as a utd fan I'm gutted BUT

City played superb football today, and we played shite hence the result

Missed VP, but we were flat with no passion AGAIN

Zabaletta was all over Rooney and played him fantastically in my opinion
Kompany was world class...city played flowing football and didn't give utd a minute...well deserved win

I have to hope that we can still do the job and that Moyes will grow into the job

We need to see the utd passion though and that starts with the manager but come on reds crack on your better than that :!:

I will end with a well done to city :D

Hats off to City Today. They were hungry and wanted it more. As Mike said the better team won without a doubt! We just weren't at the races. Rooneys fantastic free kick aside shows our dependence on RVP :( :(

Not panicking yet. DM will come good.

The fixture list has been the kindest.

A similar defeat on Wednesday well then :(

Shocked to hear Di Canio has been sacked what a mess at Sunderland.

TBH was expecting to hear of the sacking of David Weir at Sheff Utd any day now. Biggest budget in the league new millionaire owners but they are in the drop zone

I'm not. Biggest clown in the premier league. Absolutely no clue or ability whatsoever. Good riddance. I said to someone last night 'DiCanio won't last the month'. I should have bet on it. Shoe-in the be the first manager to get the sack.

I agree Rob. Surely the knew what he was like from his Time at Swindon.

Still surprised they didn't give a little longer but Sunderland aren't patient!

The Swindon board described his time as management by hand grenade. Surely when you hear that you know you've got a lire wire/dropped a bollock employing him.

Its was far from pretty tonight at OT and TBH I think Liverpool deserved to force ET at the very least but that was a massive win. Now we move on from a tough start still competing on all fronts into the rest of the season!

That was a big win for arsenal too! The cups represent heir best chance at a trophy. Will be an interesting game with Chelsea.

I hope so, I really do!

Although............The Liverpool team Souness took over was an ageing side. Still quality, but in need of a major overhaul. He ****ed that up royally and we're still suffering as a consequence.
Utd on the other hand, whilst by no means the best team/squad in the world are in a much better position (both on and off the pitch) than Pool were then. Bar the glaring hole in their CM that even Steve Wonder could see, that Utd team could continue to compete for the next few years with only minimal maintenance.*
Given the financial strength of Utd I just can't see them dropping like Liverpool did. If it looks like they are going to miss out on CL later in the year we may well see Moyes getting his P45, but I suspect he will be given time, and if needs but, a lot of money in January. You never know, they even manage to spend it like a half competent club this time!

Sadly, I very much suspect they will click at some point and will end up in one of the CL spots come May. But I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope I'm wrong!

* Insert your own funny comment about Moyes competency being equivalent to minimal maintenance.
