A solid performance and win at home for Spurs!? 😱 where’s that been for the last three months. The first game I’ve enjoyed for months! The only “Spursy” thing was they played better before the Dortmund red card.

I actually think European fixtures are more suited to to the teams we support than the PL norm, I don’t want to say easier, but they feel more open

I know what you mean, but it’s weird if you think about all those years where european games were chess matches and English sides got caught out by not being street wise enough.

I think the high tempo and standard of the PL helps. A lot of the Spanish side really only play 8 competitive games a year. Slightly harsh but it’s not often you see Barca or Real lose to the like of Rayo Vallecano (Yes, I know Real lost last week) compared to the PL sides were all but Arsenal have dropped points against the lesser lights.
Seria A is a retirement home, Germany is a higher quality (one team) SPL and Ligue Un is PSG and some other blokes.
Occasionally PL sides will have an off day or the other lot can rise to the demands of 180mins in 4+th gear but for the most part experience of 90 minute high tempo football is a massive help.

Although, it does take a physical toll, which sometimes hinders PL sides.

Well yesterday summed up why Spurs are struggling, our top scorers are our centre backs. Nobody else will dare take a shot. Frustrating result but it was a good performance

Quite the new manager bounce for United. And this has got to be the least competitive title race in living memory, two wins from five or less for all of the top seven teams! It's going to be won on about 65 points at this rate.

Are these last two results good for Utd? If Carrick keeps it up, or even gets you CL footy the media will be calling for him to get it full time and Utd are definitely dumb enough. His track record hardly screams ‘suited for the job’

Ps, Liverpool are ****!

Three PL defeats to the last kick of the game in one season. Beautiful

Oh he's getting the job full time no doubt, he's cheap, will be a puppet for the Glazers/INEOS and a lot of fans and x players will give him a free pass because he's a club legend.

As I said before I don't really care who's in charge the owners need to go and unless that happens the club will continue to decline. Yeah we will get the odd top 4 and win a domestic cup every now and again, but that's the ceiling with these owners.

You never know though perhaps he's the man for the job, I doubt it very much but there isn't a manager that would get me excited, the clubs troubles run much deeper than the coach.

As soon as things start going wrong those players will through Carrick under the bus so he may not even last the season. Think I've covered all possibilities above! 😂

Way too soon to judge Utd, as a fan it’s great to watch them play the football they have in the last two games, it’s about keeping that going and getting CL football and building.
Carrick and his team are at present making a difference irrespective of whys and wherefore that have been prior.
Amorim came to Utd too soon ( that was a pressure put on him by the top brass) and he’s gone, Carrick I thought was the better choice at this time and so far he’s doing good. Yes he’s a legend and that certainly helps and he at present is saving the top guards bacon
Definitely the major issues at the club are top brass and owners but that ain’t going to change anytime soon

For me as a Utd fan, I’m enjoying watching them actually play football and hope it continues, let’s face it, it’s easy to lose faith but harder to keep faith.

No good looking at results against Wolves, Everton etc, what’s done is done, move on and take each game at a time.
TBF they have nothing else this season so can rest and get practice on the training pitch and try and build to finish top 4

Liverpool are going through a really bad patch but are still up there, 3 or 4 games strung together and they can get back on track ( hopefully not!)

City are there, Arsenal well it’s their premiership to lose,

I’ll keep watching Utd whatever the outcome, but obviously hope for the best…that’s what you do as a fan, keep the faith through thick and thin
