Nice to see 5 PL sides through to the last 16. Fingers crossed for Newcastle, from memory their possible opponents are fairly beatable.

You could look at it from the point that Arsenal don't rely on one player to score there goals either, they have a good mix of players chipping in with goals.

I was looking at Spurs record over the last year, they finished 17th last season and won the Europa League and they are currently 14th but finished 4th in the UCL league table. Crazy how well they have done in Europe. Sad thing is they probably won't be in Europe next season.

Yep it's a good point about the spread of goals, was more about the amount of OGs but I actually googled it and Spurs benefited from 6 in a season not long ago apparently, I guess you don't notice it when it's your own team

And yep it's make or break in the UCL as we'll never be in it again at this rate

I've said this a dozen times before but I would much rather Spurs put in a shift against the teams they should beat than show up for City games. Or is there so little in it these days that every PL match is a cup final?

Oh and I remember probably 10 years ago now having an argument with Spoons calling Giroud's scorpion kick a fluke, Solanke's was obviously pure skill though

It's certainly competitive at the moment, City have only won 1 of there last 6 league games.

I have to say our European matches are broadly speaking more enjoyable than our domestic games.
I know Arteta wants the team to suffocate opponents, but I wonder if some of the dullness also stems from the way teams tend to set up against them - even Liverpool and City have basically shut up shop. Teams in Europe tend to be more open.

Slot has said the same about Pool and the CL. In europe teams try to play, in the PL it's "low block" or play for set pieces/long throws.

This is the first time I have ever been seriously worried about Spurs getting relegated. Injuries are a valid excuse but Romero's red card today is one of the most idiotic things I've ever seen, a captain screwing over his already desperately thin team. The only thing that might save us this season is the game against Wolves on the final day, I don't see any points coming from the next few games.

I would take that West Ham are on a roll at the moment, will be amazed if they don't catch us

Well it's West Ham v Man Utd on Tuesday night. Both teams playing well by there own standards.

Leicester docked 6 points.
Good to see. Normally, I don't really like that stuff, but Leicester pulled a fast one with their BS about how the PL couldn't fine them for over spending cos they had been in the Championship when they did it. They knew what they were doing and tried to get the punishment delayed so they could stay back in the PL. Instead they went down and now they get shafted in the Championship meaning they could actually go down again.
Nothing against the club, but if you try to pull a fast one like that, I have no sympathy when you get shafted. Here's hoping they end up in League one.

In a related note isn't it amazing how Leicester, and Forest and Everton before them, get charged and punished so quickly yet a certain club with 115 charges (or is it now 120+?) are three years out and still no sign of a verdict/ punishment.

Low hanging fruit, all of whom don't have limitless funds to fight, and probably do have a shred of decency between them.

The Championship! Seriously with so many injuries I don't see a team of 16 year olds winning a relegation battle. Has another team ever had TWELVE first team injuries!? These aren't squad players, Odobert's injury confirmed as an ACL since this was last updated:

I can see why they have got rid of Frank, he just seemed to be staring into the headlights watching the car crash, I think our only hope of staying up is a Sean Dyche type manager for a couple of months to grind out some draws and then have a proper rethink in the summer
