First one was on her modile and just swerved in front of me, missed the front of the car by inches. The second was a bird trying to over take in a Micra at 75 miles an hour, she was in the oncoming lane.

I was driving through Harborne B'ham lunchtime yesterday.. My driver side window shattered in mid transit. I thought some little ****** had me with a air rifle. I think it was just a road stone wiped up by a fast lorry at the right angle. Some plain clothes coppers helped me clean up the mess. I was covered in glass, and was ****** shaking.. :shock: I was definetly awake after that.

I live next to what use to be 'Rover country' Rubery, Rednal etc. In the last 10 years.. They use to employ a bloke on nights' at Longbridge who's job it was to go around after the shift had finished.. to re-check all the screws were fixed properly on the cars, and people in this country wonder why there went under.
My Grandad worked at Longdridge for 30 years until the early 80s. He bought a VW Golf soon as he left. The cars had lost there spark and build quality after 1975 he use to say.

Thing is if MG/Rover had just focused on chucking out the 'Mini' updateing the spec. they could of stayed a flout. Its a british icon, its as british as fish & chips. Thats why BMW took the patent & rights with them when they left.. they knew the cultural power it holds. Obviously didn't dawn on the muppets in suits at longbridge until it was too late.
God I hate that BMW 'new mini' whats so miniture about.. Now this isn't Longbridge area on the soap box stuff. I hated it when I thought it was british made...
It looks like a bloody bloated watermelon headed baby. Its horrible. Same goes for the modern VW beetle you should be decked out in a ****** clown costume to drive that thing, neither are a stratch on the originals, proper head turners, vintage ones in good nick. lots of chrome.
