Tickets on sale now- got mine for opening night last night.
Getting mine with my Son and Grandson tradition to go and see SW movies together that we now have my Grandson inducted
Nice! We're going as a family. My eldest just happens to be coming home from Uni on the 22nd, so perfect timing!

This is great!
Watched tonight with the family and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Way less gravitas than a SW saga film, but an action-packed, fun and often charming spin-off. Lots of great little details. Absolutely loved the Dejarik monster brawl!

Really enjoyed it. Some nice nods to the original films. Action packed from first minute to last, with easy storyline and adventure to follow

Great family film, action packed to say the least!
Absolutely a family film, action, action, action all the way through, great nods to SW, lots of little additions, Loved it, hutts Amanaman and more fantastic to watch some SW on the big screen.
I went to the opening night here in Finland and really enjoyed it. I've not seen any of the series so this was an introduction for me. As others say, great all round entertainment.
I liked how they used puppets rather than relying entirely on CGI. Clint Eastward came to mind as soon as I heard his voice.
Kylo Ren also made an appearance at the cinema foyer.

Overall it was an enjoyable film, The opening sequence was very good. I loved all the deep cuts throughout - i know some folks roll their eyes at those, but i love the nods to the past and a bit of naustalga is great.
That said - I wouldn't call it a cinematic film, the pacing overall was off and it took far to long to reveal the real story, also, the plot as a whole wasn't so much paper thin, as it was tracing paper see-through thin - but nor did it need to do much more.
I strongly suspect a lot of what we saw was lifted from the plans for season 4 and to an extent this did just feel like a Disney+ movie and not the grand rebirth of the SW Cinematic Universe, but it was fun and what it did it did well enough.
Looking forward to watching it again on Disney+ in a few months.

Have to say, I enjoyed it. Not quite as enjoyable as Rogue One...which still remains my favourite Disney SW movie, but definitely a fun film. Lots of great nods to the OT and even the OT toy line, which I always appreciate 
I have to agree with @monkey_roo and @sith-smith on their assessments.
I didn't see it at the cinema, in all honesty the last trailer put me off, big time… the "don't touch that button" thing, yes Star Wars is renowned for corny dialogue at times, but this to me felt too knowing at trying to raise a smile from the audience.
A few months have passed since the cinema release date, and I've allowed my old and cynical side to retreat in the background, once more!
I ended up paying £19.99 to stream it on day of release (£5 more than if I'd gone to my local Everyman
), I couldn't even wait for it to arrive on Disney+!!
I really did enjoy it, fast pacing at the start then it did kind of descend in to a stretched out TV episode… but familiar characters and ships with a nod to the past were more than welcome.
I'll make sure I see Starfighter at the cinema, next year for that true Big Screen experience… even if the trailers put me off!
