Absolutely hate to say it, but... Arsenal starting to look clear favourites for the title, WHU and Wolves clear favourites for the drop. Nightmare all round!

Long way to go yet, although when an ex Arsenal manager and an Arsenal fan conspire to beat Man City, you never know

Yes not quite a quarter of the way through the season yet so a long way to go still, if you'd told me at the beginning of the season that Spurs would be above Liverpool and City yet only third, I would have been confused! This is generally the only way one of the big four (Liverpool, City, United, Chelsea) don't win it, all being ***** at the same time (looking at you Leicester.) So Arsenal might not even have to try too hard at this rate!

Yeah long way to go, can see the top 4 still being Liverpool, City, Arsenal and Chelsea. Perhaps Spurs and you never know about the others. I really thought the big 4 were going to dominate this year, so far Arsenal have I guess.

The big difference this year is there is no consistency, Bournemouth have only won three of their last six games yet that's been enough to claim second place even this early on! In recent seasons it feels like several teams (Arsenal, City, Liverpool) have barely lost a match all season and it came right down to the wire at the end.

Ignore the last four games and Liverpool are amazing!

Assuming you only look at the results and not the performances 😉

In other news, I saw a lovely article on the bbc football page today by Tony Pulis* all about how he was called a dinosaur for his hoofball GBH football 15 yrs ago but now so many more teams are playing for set pieces.
If he could have sucked hits own cock……

He was called a dinosaur, because he was/is. His teams also kicked anything that moved and never once even thought about trying to play football.

Thanks set piece fc (Arsenal) and everyone else who has adopted that long throw BS.

* Obviosuly it was ghost written cos there's no way that retard can write, no "proper football man" can! Leave school at 11, work 'down pit' for a few years before making it as a footballer etc. etc.

Can't say the same for Spurs, apart from Arsenal there is no other fixture I look forward to less than Chelsea. Every club has a few bogey teams, but there's no justification for Spurs record against Chelsea over the last decade or so when we've been on a similar par. Xavi Simon put in one of the worst performances I've ever seen - slow, hesitant, defensive, lost count of how many times he gave the ball away (including the soft goal.) Absolute disgrace of a performance and the boos at the end were thoroughly deserved.

I know precisely why you lost, I benched two Chelsea players and brought in Richarliason for FPL

And Thomas Frank left hanging by VDV and Jed (spelling) Spence.
Albeit it's a non story. All this pre and post match high fives BS is well, ehhh BS.

Yeah not sure what that was about - unhappy about the tactics? Just pissed off that they played badly? Who knows.

Funny old game football - an embarrassing performance against Chelsea at the weekend, followed by the most spiritied performance and possible goal of the season with only ten men in the CL! Obviosly "only" Copenhagen but we need to see that desire in more games, even Xavi was looking sharp!

That would be Norn Iron's greatest ever result. Up there with beating Spain in the WC (in Spain) in '82. In the unlikely event it happens, getting up for Wales or whoever three days later will be ******* hard.

Still, world cups are for loser countries anyway

Yep I definitely had to look twice at that result, it can be a strange game

@weasel you'll be ok. Think you're playing us next. We are always very kind to teams on a bad run!

Is Slot going to get sacked? Incredible situation after last season.

I also decided not to ruin my Sunday by watching the football :D I heard richarlison's goal was good though 🤷‍♂️

And then they go and get fisted by PSV.
Lost consecutive home games, to Forest and PSV, by a combined score of 1-7.
Worst run since the 1950's.

I THINK I'll give the game this weekend a pass. I'll maybe ask the wife to tell me some of her ultra interesting work stories for two hours instead. That'll be much more fun

Welcome to being a Spurs supporter :) plenty of goals, just most in the wrong net! I would love to watch a nice boring 0-0 draw, 125 games since the last one apparently

I guess I asked for that 😬 2-0 down after 10 minutes at home to Fulham, unthinkable a couple of seasons ago but as hard a pill it is to swallow, I don't see much quality in our squad at the moment. While I'll always think the Kane/Son/Dembele/Bale/Vertongen etc team spectacularly underachieved, I can't help but admit that the bottom half of the table is about right with the current squad. It's going to take some getting used to, and is not much fun to watch! I quite like Frank as a manager but it looks like a complete rebuild at this point. Not looking forward to Newcastle away tomorrow, what was it last season, 6-0 down after 25 minutes 🤦‍♂️

I was going to say "Not even Spurs could do that twice" but then I caught myself on!

Saying that, if anyone is capable of winning 6-0 as easily as losing 6-0, it's Spurs.
