Premier League 25/26 Thread

We will see early days, but it's the first time we've had a goalkeeper that commands his box, catches the ball, (doesn't punch unnecessarily) and can play out from the back with both feet. But your probably right when you say until next time. 🤣

If ever a game demonstrated how much we miss Harry Kane. Could/should have been 5 goals for Spurs, instead it was a series of squandered chances inches from the goal line, and of course Villa score both of their only two shots on target. Hard to take a game like that. Odobert, Simon, Richarlison are just not cutting it in the box.

Probably the worst I've ever seen us play, and that's saying something. Bizarre starting lineup, tactics and subs. REALLY strange all round from Nuno. No leaders anywhere, no fight or desire. Kilman, Todibo and Paqueta are absolute frauds. Terrible atmosphere- us fans are starting to realise we don't actually have a home. It's pretty tragic. Relegation... and we won't be back any time soon.

I saw the headline on the BBC sport thing said "Brentford beat abysmal WH" or words to that effect. Not looking good down at the London Stadium.
Still, at least you have a sensible owner……

Yes I watched this and I think it was just one of those games where nobody clicks, every team has them. For example Bowen slicing from 6 yards out and nearly hitting the corner flag near the end, 9 times out of 10 he's scoring that.

I think we got away with a couple last night, but slapping Atletico 4-0 is as good a results as anyone could hope for.
Gyokeres still looks a bit clumsy, but goals are goals, they don't have to be pretty.

Arsenal probably best team in Europe at the moment, defensively solid as you can be and still have attacking players settling in. Only thing that will hold them back is their own belief IMO. Glad Utd have already played them once.

Yes definitely looking like the team to beat currently, having lost to Wolves and Villa and scraped past Leeds, I am not looking forward to the derby in a few weeks!

I guess we do have a habit of beating City away and then losing to (insert recently promoted/bottom of the league team here) at home the following week, who knows...

At least we're both getting our excuses in early :D

Nah, sure Liverpool beat them and ****ing any shower of shite can beat Liverpool at the minute!

Atleti are a horrible horrible team. A club built in Simeone's image. I didn't watch the game as frankly I think Arsenal are now appalling to watch. The combination of them and Atleti was as appealing as watching reruns of the Pool Chelsea games when Rafa and Jose were in charge.
But……a four nil win against them is no bad thing.

Just remember Pool strolled the CL group stage last year and then got PSG in the next round.
