Never say never! Oooooh Robin Van Percie!!!!
The whole team need to up their game. The only solution I can I can see is a voodoo ritual using Ashley Youngs essence to rejuvenate the team. At least he'll be some use this season
The other thing Id gamble on is bring through players and giving time to the likes of Andreson, Nani, Smalling, Jones and Evans. We might lose a few more games but the seasons a washout so playing these guys regularly might not be as much of a gamble as it looks and might even prove to be the making of them.

Good point, they have had involvement in the "old school" ethos, and may inject some passion from an unlikely source...you never know.

Over the next few weeks a couple of tricky Pship games

Tot, Everton and Newcastle

Bayer Laverkusen tomorrow tough away game, next up Shaktar

Then villa, stoke, west ham Hull and Norwich, so basically if we can sort out defence ( Vidic is a must) keep both Rooney and RVP fit, like you say maybe give Anderson a couple of games, as at least he will drive forward and run with the ball get it to Rooney and RVP, chuck little P on

I've got to say I have not been an Ashley Young fan, and want him to do really well, but can't see it.

Come on Utd, push on and bring some of the passion back into your game :!:

When we first bought him I thought he'd be a good squad player, never world class but overall a decent signing. Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong. The worst thing is I think he'll be a utd player for a few years yet.
I like Kagawa but he isn't settled and probably wont if Dortmund are up for a swap with Reus Id be happy with that and I hate to admit it but buying back Pogba would be a great signing. I still can't believe they let him go over £10,000 a week difference in wage demands. That fella screams class

Where to start?

Rooney should have gone. Straight red all day long. If that tackle had been the other way round the ref wouldn't have been able to get his card out quick enough. Yer boy from Cardiff who slapped/punched Fellaini should have gone as well. As for David Moyes defending Rooney, wise the **** up dick head! Have some decency and admit he's a violent little **** who got lucky! Why do media organisations even bother asking him? Ninety nine times out of a hundred when something like that happens the manager (Moyes or whoever else, they are all as bad) says he thinks it's fair enough. It's a non story. It's only worth reporting if the manager actually has a shred of decency and says "yeap, he should have gone for that." But how often does that happen?

As for Utd themselves, As I've said before they over-achieved massively last season. They won the league (comfortably) but were probably the worst champions I can remember. And that's not specifically a dig at Utd, if they were the worst WTF does that say about everyone else?
Under Moyes Utd have continued to look less than the sum of their parts. Whereas auld ball-bag made them more than the sum of their parts. Will Moyes be able to rediscover that aura? I'm sceptical, but he will need a bit more time. As well as someone to point out that 30 odd million on an attacking midfielder they don't really need given they have virtually nothing in CM is ****ing daft!

It may well be that whoever took over from Fergy was always doomed to failure. Much as I hate the guy, those are massive shoes to try and fill. I almost suspect the second manager after Fergy is the only one with a realistic chance.

As for the title this year, it really is wide open, anyone of about 6 sides could win it. I'll say this much though, whoever does win it will be right up/down there with last years Utd team as one of the worst sides to win it.

As for Spuds. jesus that was a cluster ****. I watched the game and in parts they actually played ok but had no idea how to turn possession in midfield into shots on goal, or they were so slow in going about it that a school boy team could have set up to stop them. AVB has bought some quality this summer, but it may be a case of buying too many players. He clearly has no idea of what his best formation is never mind his best 11. Ok most teams play a few formations at various stages but if pressed you know roughly what way they will line up, not so Spuds. I reckon when he gets it sorted they'll be real threat to any side in the league, but ATM they look like a bunch of guys who have never played together before. Ohh and they won't defend that badly again this season!

Ohh and how the **** that Everton player stayed on the pitch after attempting to surgically remove Suarez's leg using his studs is beyond me. Yes, Suarez is a despicable little runt, but that tackle was a red card and minimum 3 game ban.

Rebeiro is an interesting possibility :D

Yes and he hinted several times that he wants to be play for us! He looks a hell of a player too over there from what I have seen. But whether he is premier league quality I am not so sure

This is much better tonight! :D

Great performance!

Definitely but are we the new Liverpool?
Can we win cups but piss it away in the league. Riberio does look good and if we can spring for Matic while selling or letting go (or just not playing unless necessary) of Rio Giggs and Vidic we could settle next year. All 3 are still great players but cant play consistently, if we're a team in transition then give the new guys a decent shot and a run of games and see if it stabilises the team.

I wouldnt dream of dropping gigsy after last night he really rolled backed the years! 8) Ok he might not be so consistent as he was but i would drop him just wouldnt give him a place in the starting lineup and bring on as a sub

Yes, I get the thinking, but Gigsy is a must, keep on the bench. Vidic is massive for us also and Rio, but we do need to keep the balance right.
I think defence without Vidic is very different and vulnerable.

Not in the same league but go all the way back to M Robbins, super sub, then you have the gods that are Olly and of course, oh Teddy Teddy! So that's a proven tactic.

Giggs was awesome last night...40 years old! Wow what a player

Got to keep the opponents in context though, but they are second in the Bundes, and unbeaten at home in CL

All a team can do is try to take 3 points, but I still stand by the fact that its the Passion that's missing, and players on the pitch like Giggs, lift the team, and especially the younger players.

As for being another Liverpool...wash your mouth out with soapy water ! I shuddered when I read that!

More to this than you may think. I'd be worried if I supported Manure.

Mate after last night I'm gonna support someone who at least has a chance of winning the premier league in the next decade. Go on Burton Albion.

Well that is why most people started supporting Man Utd in the first place so wouldn't surprise me.

Hi mate! Keep the faith. i think how badly we finish depends now on who we sign and who get shot of!

We are still in all cup comps and have progressed in the CL so it aint ALL bad. Hopefully we can progress against stoke too in the League cup as that may well be the only realistic chance of silverware
