I saw chunks of WH Spuds yesterday, from the red card on. That seemed to kill the game, that and the fact Spurs scored instantly. Mind you WH's marking for the second left a lot to be desired for the third was none existent. VDV was stood in the box unmarked pointing to where he wanted it for about ten seconds before he scored. No one felt the need to mark him or point out that he was free.
You have to fear for Potter's job cos those are very very basic things. One slip up can be excused but it's becoming a recurring theme.
Nice to see Garnacho fall asleep at the back post and cost Chlesea 2 points last night.

We are soooo spineless at the mo. Something goes wrong and it's game over. Felt sorry for big Tomas- such an honest pro, just got it wrong and had to go. Refreshing to see his reaction, rather than being in the ref's face, pretending he hasn't done anything wrong. Some of Potter's decisions are baffling. Fernandes subbed off way before JWP?! JWP shouldn't even be starting. Magassa looked good when he came on and needs to play with Fernandes and Paqueta in a 3.
I get the decision, technically, but surely, on that basis, every Arsenal corner goal should be disallowed? I would've been annoyed if we had that disallowed.

Slightly fortunate win for Pool. Fortunate in that the penalty came in stoppage time, but if you look at the match stats no way did Burnley deserve anything from that game.
Their XG at half time was 0.00. They were at home. They had 3 shots in the whole game, none on target (Pool had 27). Stephen Hawking, in his coffin, could have done nets for Pool and they still would have won. Burnley attempted 160 passes and completed just over half of them, that's less than 1 completed pass to a team mate every minute. Pool completed over 600. Burnley had 20% possession and played 5-4-1 with their "striker" sitting midway between the centre circle and the semi circle at the edge of the box. To my mind that's the kind of position a DCM takes up, not a striker.
They sat in and just hoofed the ball away for 90 minutes. Fair ***** that does take discipline and it is to be admired, BUT at home in your fourth game of the season? **** me, at least TRY and attack just once?
I don't wanna say, I want them to go down, and I know had they gone toe to toe with Pool they would probably have lost, but if that is how they plan to try and stay up, the PL will be better off without them.

Saw the highlights and looked like Liverpool were completely dominant. Really gutting for Burnley, though, to hold on so long and then give away a stupid pen, right at the death.

Saw my late mates mum on Saturday. She was saying Ashley would be discussed how badly Man U are doing, his dad talks to his photo saying come one do some to get them good again. Can't believe 15 years has passed already

Indeed. In the famous game back in 1999 when they won in the last seconds he was celebrating and dancing in the street for over 20 minutes lol
Hope so, but doubt it. The board are slow and spineless. Had high hopes for him, but he's had enough time and a window to make a difference and we've got worse. Some of his decisions are utterly bizarre- Paq at centre half and Mav up front. JWP playing pretty much every minute, when he's been our worst player all season. Not using any of the excellent kids we have available...
Keity Andrews will do well to see Xmas and Brentford could be in trouble this season. They were woeful yesterday.

They have a superb squad and they get the results, but **** me long throws and corners seems to be the only way they look to score. Which baffles me given the attacking options they have. I really really struggle to watch them, and for years they were a played really easy on the eye football. Now it's borderline Pulis ball, which is criminal with that squad.

Oh aye, given the choice between "nice football and humped by the best sides, or eye gougingly dire ***** but be in a title race" everyone takes the latter. But that squad should be able to do both, easily.

I think Arteta is just too pragmatic. That being said, Man City and Liverpool didn't exactly come at us all out attack either

Arsenal were playing against a Man City side that were playing a back 10, they didn't have much choice of how to play. City's 'style of play' has disappeared this season.
City are a work in progress and so far a good chunk of the players they have signed in the last 18months look very very average.

Like Potter as a bloke- good guy. However, it just wasn't working in any way, shape or form. Happy with Nuno- much more dynamic and seems to have more backbone to stand up to Sullivan and Brady. Think his way of playing will suit our squad much better,

Not sure on Nuno to WH, the football was dire at Forest. Effective, but dire. And they won a lot of games 1-0 or by sitting in and getting lucky.
I guess if it keeps WH up…..

That's the thing Brentford will struggle to stay up IMO and they destroyed Utd today……
Amorim must be on borrowed time. Sunderland next then the International break (again FFS!) and a trip to Anfield.
Lose to Sunderland, who are 4th as it stands and he could be gone.
Like the end of the ETH reign, can anyone say a single player has improved during his time as Utd boss? Have any of his signings looked like value for money? The summer signings get a bit of a bye-ball as they are just in the door, but his signings from last Jan haven't been great. Unlike ETH we at least know what style of play he wants to implement, the problem is it doesn't seem to work and shows no real signs of progress. He's a year in the job and Utd look worse.
Good luck finding a manager who can fix that shambles. If he goes that's ANOTHER year to get rid of more deadwood that won't fit the new managers' system. Deja vu.

Manager isn't 'THE' problem it's the owners. Every time we sack a manager it gets worse. Liverpool were **** until they got new owners, Man City were nothing until they got new owners, Newcastle……..I could go on and on. Name me a player Man Utd have signed and he's improved in the last 12 years.
