Jesus ****!
I didn't even watch the game, still refusing to watch Pool and I fully expected Utd to win. No idea how you ship 6 goals in the second half. I have seen the goals themselves and there are a few properly ropey bits of defending, and (TBF) one or two that are down to fortunate deflections or the ball dropping kindly for Pool. I'll take it, obviously, but no way in hell did I expect a result like that.
Fair point, Utd have been grinding results out, or getting a bit lucky depending on your point of view, and they have played a fair few games but even so I did not expect them to implode like that. Pool played more games last year and they never imploded like that. Yes, they have had a (relatively) shite season, but there haven't been any implosions like that. I guess it just goes down as one of those freak results that happens from time to time. In all seriousness it may actaully be a good thing for Utd. Obviously they would have preferred it was ONLY 3/4/5 but it will stamp out any of the nonsense about "Utd are back" or "Utd are gonna win a quadruple" etc. They have done bloody well this year, ETH has done a superb job (between him and the Brighton boy for Manager of the season, so far, for me) especially considering the mess he inherited. BUT Utd are still a work in progress and they still have a long way to go. That defeat will stop the excitable fans and the players, from thinking they are better than they are.
Although, obviously I am hoping they play like they did in the 2nd half in every game left this season and end up relegated. I can dream.
Ohh and Bruno Fernandez should be banned for that dive when Konate's hand brushed his chest. To go down holding your face is pathetic. VAR cant do yellow cards, but the FA/PL should step in and make an example of him. I'll ignore his "push" on the linesman, that was a nothing, and probably just from frustration, but that dive was pathetic. As was his 90mins performance from what I hear
