What would you guys do? dishonesty

A while back i sold an item on ebay, i posted it to the buyer and then a few days later i realised i'd sent the wrong item, simlilar but worth 50x the value of the item i should have sent.

I contacted him and asked nicely for him to send it back and i would cover all his costs and let him have the one he bought free, he replied saying he sold it on a car boot sale which i knew was bullshit.

low and behold he is now selling it on ebay for a large sum of money

what would you guys do apart from get his address and kick his head in?

I would contact him reminding him that that item is yours. Remind hi that you have his name, email address and home address and will be reporting him to ebau and the police for theft. Tell him you have all his emails telling you that he no longer had your item that he is now selling. These email prove you are knowingly selling stolen goods on ebay. Something ebay will ban him for and the police will be interested to know.
Tell him you'll try and pop round (to his home) at the weekend to sort things out. Or he could just post it back to you. His choice.

This should work tho. **** him back. I would actually hope he sends it without tracking (laziness and dishonesty go hand in hand so this is likely). Then you could claim it never arrived. Failing that, claim it is not as described and send back the item you originally meant to send him. :wink: :lol:

Report it. That's theft mate. If you've asked for it back and can prove it, he has now dishonestly appropriated your property with the intention of making it his own.

I would be contacting him saying if he doesn't return your item you will be going to the police.

That is true. But i would say go for it anyway. I would report him to the police just to piss the bloke off. The idea of buying it yourself might work.
