On a side note a 19 year old kid from my school has won just over £1,000,000 on a fottie acca over the weekend. I've seen the ticket. Had Chelsea, Liverpool, Barca scores. Very nice lad.

****ing hell! A miw-yon?!!
Also, you're at school???

This is what he had all correct scores:

Chelsea v Arsenal
Hanover v Dortmund
Mainz v Bayern
Cardiff v Liverpool
Everton v Swansea
City v Fulham
Real v Barca
Newcastle v Palace

I feel a bit sorry for Southampton, they deserved a point from that, but then so did Spurs against Arsenal and football's never been a fair game. Comical Spurs defending as usual, thank God for some goals at last.

Not at all surprised about the Chelsea score, if they can dick Spurs they can dick Arsenal too. That's one of my biggest gripes about the Arsenal/Spurs rivalry, there really isn't as much in it as most Gooners would like to believe. Are they a better side? Yes just about, but they should be a lot better with such an experienced manager and the ridiculous amount of money behind them. They are still a country mile behind the top 3. If Spurs are deluded thinking they can get top 4, Arsenal are even more deluded thinking they deserve better than 4th.

All IMO of course

He put money on Chelsea to put 6 on Arsenal, AND Liverpool to beat Cardiff 6-3!?
I don't know the German results, but the other English ones were fairly routine/remotely predictable with the possible exception of City winning by so much. But fair play to him for going for the Pool+Chelsea results!

Ps Edd, do Arsenal have that much money behind them, really? I mean Wenger never seems to spend much. Granted that could just be him sticking his head in the sand, but Spurs have spent a fair bit as well, with the money they got for Carrick, Berbatov and Bale.

Yup Weasel I saw the ticket!

A kid wins a million and Edd wants to talk about how **** Spurs are

Arsenal are ploughing their money into getting the stadium paid off. Real estate around Highbury hasn't grown as forecast I believe.
I think Spurs have spent more than Arsenal as far as I know. It should be Spurs doing better than Arsenal who agree are way behind the top 2. Not sure who 3 would be? Liverpool? 1 bad result. Manure? On the wane.

Come on united!

Ugh feel physically sick now.

I work in an office with a city fan, she knows I've got Liverpool season tickets so she passes me in the corridor and I say "come on united", and she calls me a toe-rag! She was ok with me later

Will Moyes get the summer to continue his "re-building" of Utd?

I don't see even the slightest indication that the club/team is doing anything other than regressing under him. Yes, an overhaul can take time, players need to learn the new managers methods etc, but Everton don't seem to be struggling and they are going from attritional football to a more attacking, open, passing game. Even Rodgers/Dalglish/Uncle Woy at Liverpool never took them as far backward as Moyes is doing at Utd. It's long since past time the Utd Board put Moyes out of his misery...........and I'm a Liverpool fan!

What took Liverpool backwards was Souness after Dalglish left the first time, and they still haven't fully recovered (but getting there now). I can't see Man U getting rid of Moyes that quickly but you never know... apparently there was a line of stewards gaurding the "Chosen One" banner at OT on Tuesday night, so clearly there are a number of fans getting a bit sick of things now.

Wow, that would be unimaginably devastating.
But how could you get a thing like that wrong?? :?

Well that was another great show of defence by Spurs, I've seen better Junior School teams! Is it really that hard to see what's going wrong, or should I be a footie manager!?

It really hurts me to say this but Liverpool are gonnna take some stopping.

Whenever I want Chelski to actually win they **** up!

Agreed with Edd today Liverpool never really got out of third gear. Two very poor gaols to give away in the first half.

I hope so Liam, I really do :)

For Spurs it was a lack of creativity and a lack of fight. Liverpool hardly had to break sweat Spurs were so poor. Ad what was Sherwood doing the stands?
