Unbelievable jef.
Just seen MOTD, the highlight was watching poor Jordan Pickford calling for Nuergaard to be sent off after he hit his knee. The ball is played to the back post and Nuergaard is sliding in and has to go for it. In the collision Pickford's knee hits Nuergaard's boot. Cue Pickford rolling about the ground and pointing to a tiny, ie invisible, mark on his knee and calling for a card.
Up steps VAR to advise the ref to send him off.
This is the same Pickford who had no issue with coming in ridiculously late and snapping VVD's cruciate. That was just an accident apparently.

I saw the Leicester penalty right at the end of the game and VAR took about 3 minutes to decide. I saw it and new it was a pen after first replay, ridiculous how long they took.
See the Saints penalty today?
I've seen about a dozen replays of it and I'm still not sure where the foul took place. Robbo's foot is planted JUST outside the line (on the line being a penalty) but does the contact take place there or a split second later? His foot is planted outside the box but his body is leaning in the box so it is distinctly possibly that his foot was outside the box but the contact was further up his leg and thus inside the box. ****ing tricky call for the VAR and I would say "fair enough he stuck with the on-field decision of pen" (I suspect had the ref said "no pen" VAR would have, again, seen no reason to change the decision.)
BUT……It was Michael Oliver, so we all know his decision process went, "What would Man City want? Oh yeah, Penalty."

I just checked the predicitions thread, I did mention him as a possibility in the first manager sacked. Something along the lines of "not sure about Cooper at Leicester." Good to know my memory isn't playing tricks on me, and he did always look a poor appointment.
Hard to make any judgements on Amorim either. A bit of a scrappy game.
He needs more than 1 game before we judge him, obviously, but sometimes you can see ideas taking shape. I guess with the Int break he probably hadnt had much time with the team.

You can't polish a turd. Some of those players on £300k a week are a massive problem.

I doubt it, any descent team would have beaten Man Utd today. Rashford scored after 80 seconds and put his feet up for the rest of the match and was smiling at full time, he's an absolute joke.

This is why Arteta/Arsenal were brutal with deadwood. Yes, it cost a lot financially, but show me one person that thinks it was wrong (beyond an Ozil/Auba fanboy)

Well, I didn't see that coming. We actually looked like a team and really well. Paqueta and Soler turned up for a change and Bowen was superb.
