Fixtures are out today, so seems like a good time to kick off a new thread!

Second season in a row Liverpool start with three away games to three of the biggest sides and a home game against the champions. Someone up there is determined to see them in the bottom three at the start.

Arse (a), Burnley (h), Spurs (a), Leicester (h), Chelsea (a)

Yes I agree Liverpool have a shitty start. Obviously in theory it makes no difference but having a few easy wins to start with can do wonders for confidence.

Seriously Liverpool are dangerous next season, no European destractions. Best chance of winning the league in about 27 years.

Edd your correct in many ways but try telling an Arsenal fan that.

Phew, he saw sense and decided to stay at Leicester:

I think if he'd have gone Leicester would have imploded and done a Blackburn next season. I really want to see if it was just luck or if they are serious contenders.

I'll agree it's good for football that he stuck with the team that gave him a chance, not really sure where it leaves us in terms of transfer strategy though, presumably scrapping around in August again and still not buying the players we need

So with just five short weeks to go before kick off does anyone ever set up a Fantasy footy league for the forum? If this has not been done before would there be any interest?

I have done for the last few years on the official Fantasy PL site. Will do again this year and will post details nearer the start of the season.

Good stuff, count me in for some propping up the league to possible mid table obscurity

Sunderland must be odds on favourites to go down now. They've just appointed David Moyes

Alberto Moreno that was the worst performance I have seen since Woodgate made his debut for Real (he shipped a penalty, scored an OGa nd got sent off).

Do me a favour son and **** off.

Said the most miserable man supporting the winning team

I'm surprised you didn't hear me swearing at the useless tosser. No chance of CL with him in the team.

Arsene Wenger: Arsenal 'ready' to spend money in transfer market

Fantastic, after we've lost the first game you again want to scramble around and try to bed new players in through September instead of through pre season

It is amazing how many times can he go through the same bad routine? Don't tell him Joe Heart is for sale!

I know, when we signed Xhaka so early on I really though things would be different but that optimism soon faded after longingly checking daily for an update, or hint that we are completing a deal

You cannot honestly expect the same players that let you down year on year to suddenly become world beaters just by adding one player per window.

Move on the usual suspects, promote from within and pay them lowball wages (by prem standards) and the money saved get in some proven winners in every main position
