A hugely significant find, not necessarily in terms of the individual pieces but in the sum of its parts. Its basically the closest RF to full production and distribution we've ever seen. The 2 rockets and mailer box make it. I do wonder why it was announced on FB though and not a forum. The story will be lost in 2-3 days.

That's bloody cool.
Great read, great story and I'm rally glad it's ended up with them. Two nice collectors.
Thanks for posting it on here dude.

That is a great story - a pipedream for most of us to ever own anything like that but so encouraging to see new finds being made nearly 40 years after the fact

What a fantastic story and amazing purchase :!:
An incredibly important lost piece of history now found :D

How 8) that it would have come with TWO projectiles 8) 8)

Call me negative, but im not overwhelmed with this and certainly dont think it warrants 'historic' status, especially as the bag is opened. What proof is there that they had the rockets and Fett packaged in that box to be mailed out? None-zero. This is just another rocket fett find, and there has been many considering how rare they once were and still are.

Still great find,great piece :D

Oh, and i agree about Facebook. Absolute bullshit doing the ' unveiling' on there and what a bunch of posers. Seems like 99% of the bellends on there are rich, spoilt kids with too much time and money. I dont think its the thrill of the hunt anymore, its more the 'look at me,look what i found with all my research' bullshit.

Please bring back the old days...

Pretty cool......... not blown away or anything and I will have probably forgotten about it tomorrow but still a cool piece.

I wonder how much he paid... $10000, £20000.... more..?

That was a great read and I thought he said that there was an advert mentioning that this item was intended to be sent out with 2 rockets? Forgive me if I'm wrong but isn't this proof of what this is, (admittedly the seller could have just added a second rocket into the sale but that seems unlikely with the cost that a loose rocket is worth on it's own and it really doesn't sound like the Kenner ex-employee would make this up to me)?

That Boba is so mint and one other thing I noticed is that the blaster looks to be green/black in colour (the way I remember all my first 12 figures blasters being growing up).

I guess it could have been a little more exciting if a potential 13th first wave figure had been discovered but I do think this is a bit of history in it's own way, I certainly didn't know that they would have been shipped with two rockets and with the size of it, it makes sense to me.

Probly put a 1 in front of those figures

Nah - it's probably $30k or so. That's a bit below what a j slot would fetch - the seller didn't know the significance of the packet of extra rocket.

Never saw what all the fuss was about Boba Fett. Yeah lots of weapons, cool ship, jet pack......

But ultimately dies a crap death when a blind man accidentally knocks him of the skiff into Sarlac with a small metal bar.

That's a pretty amazing find.
Those Kenner employees with foresight in the 70s didn't need a pension plan, just a few hard copies or wax moulds and business cards and 40 years later kerching :D 8)

There's no proof he died in the Sarlacc pit. 2 half digested red tampon shape plastic things were found in his poo but no Fett himself...

Great find.
