films that traumatized you as a kid.

I was in hospital for a week when I was 10 and remember watching Quatermass Ring-Stone Round one evening on the ward telly that really freaked me out at the time, I think the hospital added to the atmosphere worth a watch still think its good now :)

House is a nuts film, it's basically what you'd get if you asked five fifteen year old Japanese girls to make a horror movie. I made a poster for it last year:

There are two for me:

Moontrap and The Garbage Pale Kids Movie

Moontrap is mega cheese now but there was one scene where the robots that live on the moon are trying to cut up the humans with a circular saw in order to harvest their organs, which freaked me out as a kid. The Garbage Pale Kids movie is the only film to make me feel physically sick - there's a bit where the one that always vomits sprays vomit everywhere and it looked like the orange squash I was drinking. The movie was aimed at kids but it most definitely wasn't suitable, I've heard lots of people say that it was the one film that really grossed them out.

PS: People say that trailers nowadays give too much away, check out the trailer for moontrap, it's basically the whole movie. It also shows the circular saw scene...

I wonder if Moontrap is the one that freaked me out as a kid. Be about 1981. I can never remember much about it but there was something about the moon and a hospital or something.

I heard GPK was about the worst film ever made.

House is one of those films I should have seen. It was always there in the video shop but we always went for Freddy or Jason films.

.

Moontrap was made in 1989 so I'm afraid not. I've just realsied that there are two movies called House, the one I thought we were talking about is a Japanese movie from the 70s that is utterly bonkers. I've never seen the other one.

Another movie that would have freaked me out is The People Under the Stairs. I never watched it at the time though (91)

I think they did 4 of them all together, haven't seen them in years, they are probably all available on youtube if you wanted to check them out again
