I don't remember this
"Another worry on SWFUK was a thread on somebody making bloody convincing Palitoy reseals. There was a lot of high-fiving and kudos being threw at the customiser doing this and that is certainly a concern. "
I've asked that question on RS. It's probably the thread from tfb about making refurbished MOCs.

If that is it..they twisted that one. I would find it amusing they would be all over me fixing cardbacks, but endorse buying poon repros.
I think they are mixing up the whole reseal/refurb/restored semantics?
If you have the original cardback and bubble, you can reseal along the bubble tear, placing the correct figure with coa marking and original weapon.
I have done this myself on a few cards. If the footplate is missing, I use the bubble cardback as it is the same colour and cut to size. These I consider
to be reseals and it's done all the time and not a problem in my opinion. It's very hard to do these seamlessly and I haven't seen one yet that would
pass close scrutiny.
Restored or refurbished would have reproduction weapons, figures, cardbacks or bubbles or any combo of those. Reproduction items should be clearly marked
as being reproduction so as not to fool inexperienced collectors. Ones which don't have these markings, I have a problem with, and I have already banned
their sale on my facebook group.
