It was massively under deserved, the game went on and on, saying that the following year play off final was a belter too, 1-1 after 90 minutes and Gills won 3-2 after ET. Steve Thomson scored the winner and left for a Scottish team as didn't think he'd cut it in Championship (div 1 back then), he was great in Division 2
