What you reading?

I'm not a great reader but a few years ago I read the Belgariad and Mallorean series by David Eddings. Bloody fantastic read into a world of fantasy and adventure. The Belgariad is the better of the series IMO, I would easily read them all again.

'The Belgariad series'
1. Pawn of Prophecy
2. Queen of Sorcery
3. Magicians Gambit
4. Castle of Wizardry
5. Enchanters End Game

'The Mallorean Series', which follows on from the Belgariad
1. Guardians of the West
2. King of the Murgos
3. Demon lord of Karanda
4. Sorceress of Darshiva
5. The Seeress of Kell

Reading 'Sassinak' - Volume 1 of 'The Planet Pirates' trilogy by Anne Mccaffrey and Elizabeth Moon.

Good sci-fi book from the early 90's with a bright garish cover to go with it!!!

I've just finished A Canticle for Leibowitz which is a post-apocalyptic Sci Fi novel set in a Catholic monastery.

It was forced on me by a local nutcase who has the most obscure books but I have to admit it was pretty good.

Yeah, i read that a couple of years ago. Bit slow in parts but a good book. Apparently there is a sequel, though i haven't read it.

"The moon is a harsh mistress" by Robert A Heinlein, "Brave New world" by Aldus Huxley, and "The forever war" by Joe Haldeman are a few others that are worth checking out.

LMK what you think of it. I have about 30 books waiting to be read, but I may well add it to the pile.

I love that film. It's actually one of my favourite zombie/post apocalyptic films. I'll definitely give that book a go. Thanks.

The book is SOOOOO much better than the film. It's totally different as well. Let me know what you think of it. As someone who read the book first and thought it was amazing, I was gutted when I saw how Hollywood had destroyed the entire thing in making the film.

Wow! Just google the author and noticed he wrote "The Omega man" too (my dad says this is much better than "I am legend"). Think i will have to buy them both. 8)

You ever get round to reading either of them?

I have the sequel to read next. I agree it was slow at times.
