Snagged a nice Luke Bespin last week. He has NO COO smoothed over on BOTH legs :shock: Can anyone shed any more info on him?

Here's a few more pics of the Luke Bespin with no coo/no markings. He is on the left and i've used the Palitoy Luke
(no coo with just date line) on the right as a comparison;

There is the absolute tiniest of trace of LFL 1980 but only on very close inspection
but it is pretty much totally smoothed over. He looks slightly shorter than his
Palitoy conterpart as well and his hair is more orange/brown than the
mustard/green hue of the palitoy. He has the same peg holes and his boots are
painted a shinier colour. His head may be cast a little thicker/chunkier than the Pailtoy
but that may be my perception :)

This is probably very boring for all the non/variant collectors :roll: so apologies there
but what do you variant guys reckon?

Check the heads out they are different. One got a fatter head and one figure looks slightly taller. Get your glasses on :wink:

Imo your no coo, no date dude is based on a very used mould and due to that the date information did not come out clear. More a factory error than a coo variant.

But these are just my thoughts...

Lads, I have a Bespin Han that I thught was Ledy.

It has black shiny hair which is painted 0ver the ears, slightly darker brwn tr0users
but the leg markings are nt adding up. I have made in Hng Kng 0n his right leg??

I have been using that link alot as its very uesful, but I just wondered as the darker pants, glossy hair and covered ears indicate Ledy hwever COO doesn't stack up.

I have bought a number of Ledy figures from a mexican source where they have all been leggit Ledy's with Ledy accessories, however this Han frm him has the wrong COO markings with the inf from the German guide so wondered if any of you could shed any light? Thanks

The one on the left is potentially the Ledy...

The Lily Ledy Han Solo Bespin does not have a COO.

The same issue applies to the Lily Ledy Stormtrooper.

There is a Hard torso stormtrooper that can be confused for a Lily Ledy
however it has a wider stance and a HK COO and some subtle differences
on close inspection

I have both the figures pictured. Exactly the same leg markings etc. But your potential Ledy has a different head which is different to my LL figure with the correct leg markings. Perhaps a head mix up has occured- possibly at the factory :?:

Cheers for your input Uli. He is definitely shorter than the Palitoy Luke plus has a chunkier head. That alone
makes me think it could be more than used molds. I noticed in your wantslist thread on RS you were looking
for a no coo/no date brown hair Luke Bespin - is this different to the one i have pictured?

Here are the pictures that were posted in the German forum (member hanny):

Hanny was not sure if there is a very slightly date info or not... but imo the figure looks different to yours (not only with his red lips).

Since I got a no date, 'onk Kong' Tusken I believe in coo factory errors :wink:

Yes it's Mexican- but not knock-off/rip off stuff. It is genuine vintage just like Palitoy, Toltoys etc.
