Yeah the Valdes is a strange one for me though. Only thing I can think is Real Madrid have done a deal for De Geah at end of season. Unless Valdes is happy to sit on the bench and wait for a chance?

Townsend was bad, but nowhere near the worst.

The only other thing I would say is that Valdes is coming back from a carrier threatening injury, so he might of had limited options.

True that. I would still have thought a few other sides would have been interested in him. Offer him a pay as you play contract, or put in a clause limiting his pay if he breaks down again.

Beyond irritated by that result, personally didn't see that as a pen either, to my eyes he dived after the tackle.

Funny that we started the season crying out for a Striker and Kane has come through, can't see lighting striking twice though and the back four suddenly becoming defenders any time soon. Investment in the squad and in turn the manger's ideals is required before we finish another season ruing the missed opportunities...

I'm not too up on the Spurs youth/non-squad players but if Harry Kane can come out of nowhere and perform like this, why not give some of the young defenders a chance? Our back 4 just don't give a ****. The amount of times I've seen Fazio give the ball away and then not do anything about it has infuriated me. Defenders need to be the players on the pitch that give a **** the most. If a striker doesn't score it's not the end of the world, if a defender gifts a goal their neck is on the line so having a back four that look like they're playing a friendly every game is not good enough.

Just back from the Unitedmgame We were bloody awful. Credit to Saints tho. They defended resolutely and took their chance. 2 goals in 4 games for us (excluding Yeovil) is not good enough. If we play like today we will be lucky to finish seventh again.

My United Record now 4 games 1 goal scored, 1 draw and 3 defeats. I am banning myself!

Yes Soton are a force to be reckoned with - It's refreshing to see a team bought on a relative shoestring budget doing so well. ManU had no shots on target but no doubt they'll be spending more money in Jan to try and rectify that.

Didn't see the game because as usual Spurs seem to be immune from TV coverage for some reason, but despite the calamitous first 10 minutes (to be fair the second goal was an unlucky deflection) I thought the tactics were interesting. I'm quite happy with Rose up front as he's a useless defender and spends most of his time in the opponents half anyway, glad Pochettino has finally noticed. Although he is the only defender we have that can tackle so will need to be replaced. Amazing that Soldado still can't score:

Beyond a joke by now surely? I'd love to see some stats on how many open goals he's missed. I'm sure it's just down to bad luck rather than being utter **** because I could have scored half of them, but surely you have to admit defeat at some point.
