Premier League 24/25 Thread

Famous last words but I don't give Bilbao much chance tonight, they have loads of players out and looks like they're going for UCL qualification through the boring way of finishing 4th in the Spanish league.

It's funny how main stream pundits are moaning about Man Utd possibly qualifying for the UCL through the Europa League, saying it's all about money while they're being paid by Sky who literally monetised football about 35 years ago.

The hypocrisy of these x players is historical.

Football is full of hypocrites, especially the fans, one of the things I like least about it. Spurs were "failures" finishing 2nd and reaching the CL final, apparently it won't be a success if we finish mid table and win the Europa league either. You can't win!

Yeah apparently they were the best team in the CL. That's why they didn't win it. Or their domestic league.
Just accept defeat and STFU Mikel.

As for Utd or Spurs making the CL. Neither deserve Europe next year, nevermind the ****ing CL. They have both been utterly abysmal all season.
BUT, the rules say, you win the EL you get a spot in the CL. So fair ****s to whoever wins it. Whoever loses has had one almighty shite season.

From memory winning it get you seeeded in pot one. That may have changed with the expansion of the CL I don't know. But it's safe to say, whoever wins, there will be better sides in Pot four than them.

Fully expecting Arsenal to beat Pool as well, Pool will be still celebrating and Arsenal will remember how to score. 0-2 sounds about right.

Couldn't quite believe our lineup today and thought we'd definitely lose, despite Man U making loads of changes as well. However, it worked! Thought some of the subs were a bit ropey (Bowen and Kudus off together and being the only players who can properly run with the ball to relieve pressure), but we held on, to go top of the Shite mini-league.

Bristol City got properly thumped, but I agree. I was hoping for BC v's Coventry. Couldn't give a **** who wins between Sunderland and SU. Both clubs have had plenty of shots of the PL and almost always stunk the place out. They will be favourites to go down.

Bloody hell, five losses and one draw from the last 6 games, worst form in the league, including the relegated teams. Wednesday will be interesting! 😬

Who's got that form Spurs or Utd, or both? I know Utd haven't won more than one league in a row this season.

League was over for Man Utd before Christmas. For Spurs and Utd league positions have nothing to do with the price of bread until after Wednesday night. Only the 8th European final Man Utd have been in in my life time, so as **** as it's been for both clubs whoever wins has at least £80 million extra next season. It's also Utd's 4th final in 3 seasons, it's impossible to predict though 50/50 IMO.

Yes congratulations Palace, what a day for them, the FA Cup still epitomises what football should be about. I see Pep took the defeat well.
