Yeah not just a great result, but a great performance. I was almost annoyed that United went down to 10 men as beside the comedy penalty after 30 seconds, Spurs were already bossing them and I think would have won comfortably without the red card.
On the subject of the red card, it's never nice to see somebody get one for retaliating and I think Lamela was very lucky not to get one too, but it's happened to Son a couple of times so these incidents balance out.
Very happy, but still annoyed about that ridiculous penalty against Newcastle as we should be second instead of fifth. I hope those two points don't make or break the season.
For me, the red card was a nonsense. NEVER a red. Not even a yellow. Nor was Lamella's initial shove. I would have booked Lamella for diving though. His reaction was pathetic. Great result for Spurs though. Albeit I haven't seen the game, for some strange reason I can't bring myself to watch MOTD2

And no mention of Villa's result on sunday yet!?
I've been busy with Munchkin's b'day, covid makes it all a ball ache. That and I have been ignoring all football.
HOW do you ship 7 to ****ing Aston Villa!?
Granted 1 was handed to them on a plate by Adrian, 4 mins in. That set the tone. On that note, when have we seen Adrian do stuff like that before, ohhh yeah, the last time he started a meaningful game for Pool, against Atleti in CL and he single handedly won the game.....for them!
Even at that, no club should then go on to ship another six from there. Every time Villa attacked they looked like they would score. Pool were a shambles. Three deflected goals is unfortunate (not sure I can remember a side scoring 3 deflections before) but the Villa players shouldn't have had that time and space.
The more I think about it, the more it strikes me as "just one of those games". Everything Pool tried went wrong, everything Villa hit flew in, or deflected off a Pool player and deflected in. You get games like that every few years. It's just annoying that it happened to Pool but sure.
The derby will be interesting. Everton haven't played a decent side yet but will come into it with confidence sky high. Pool's confidence will be rocked. You would hope there will be a reaction from them. Certainly Gomez can't play that badly again. He was so bad he had me wishing Moreno was still there. If I was a betting man I would probably go for a draw.
