Premier League 2012/13 Discussion Thread

Norwich are getting sucked down into the mix as well

Agree with Weasel - QPR are down and then you can perm any two from Reading, Wigan, Villa, Southampton & Norwich (fingers crossed)

Think Newcastle, Sunderland and Fulham will pull away - West Ham could get draggedin but think they have enough quality to avoid relegation

There's normally someone who's form collapses at the end of the season and they nose dive own the table. Fingers crossed it's Man U lol.

Great result for the baggies. Watched the whole game and what were Liverpool doing? They were in control of most of the game but just couldn't close it.

And as for that penalty    Cheating, diving twat just doesn't help himself at all.

Haven't seen any of the game, even the goals. Heard the penalty was soft. Even Mark Lawrenson admitted it, with a bit of persuasion. Thought obviously he still tried to justify it.

Typical Pool. Play well against Arse and City, and come away slightly unfortunate not to win both games, then lose at home to a WBA team who haven't won since 1642!

David De Gea! Fantastic performance and that first save was one of the best I have ever seen

Agree 100%
Still can't believe Van Persie missed the open net!
The referee was utter rubbish and to top off his fail performance he didn't allow the corner at the end, fuming!

Hey Craig! :)

Complete agree 100% What the **** is he doing with the corner at the end Twat!  Just let us take the ****er then IF its headed away then blow. When he blew there was 10 secs left FFS!

He should have have sent that guy off for pulling back Evra on 59 mins too and I concur how did RVP not score!

Brillant performance. Jones was Fantastic too 8)

Banned for all manner of things, such as using the word concur; wanting someone to get sent off; starting words with capital letters at the end of a sentence.... Oops wrong thread

On a more serious note, I thought De Gea was outstanding. Good performance overall and a good position to be in for the second leg

That will be West Ham this season  Can't wait for it happen...

Good result for Utd. Although it was a strange game. Utd didn't create much, between the goal (which I think was their first shot) and RVP missing that decent chance and hiting the bar/post within a few seconds, Utd created nothing. Real had all the ball but at the same time, they didn't create a huge amount either. A few half chances and a few shots from distance De Gay saved well, but it wasn't exactly a seige!

Strangely, I think a draw flatters Utd, given the possession they had. But, at the same, time they can feel disappointed not to have won, given they had the best chances.

Sergio Ramos...........what a bellend! Fell over twice after someone (RVP+Valencia) had brushed their hand against his face. How I would love to see Mick Harford etc play against him.

Nose divers are defo norwich this season!

Weaz fair pouints there about Ramos. he is the biggest dickhead playing the game now IMO Absolute nob!

I think its our best ever performance at the Bernabeu and in Spain for that mater we have never won a single game there still :?

Its on a knife edge tho an early away goal for Madrid and we are out! :|

Can remember watching that vividly but didnt know it was in Spain! Ha you learn something new every day eh? :)

What I was trying to saywas that it was our best performance against Spanish oppostion

And people say Utd fans know nothing!

Agreed, if Real score early you got problems!

It was that match in 1999 at the Camp Nou that got me into football, hated it before that, what a game!

It was a great team performance from Utd and its the most comfortable I have felt as a fan going into a big Champions league match in a long time,so nearly had it!

Big plus for me this year has been the emergence of Johnny Evans and Rafael Da Silva as rock solid defenders.Johnny Evans had been prone to errors in bag games the last season or two but now hes error free and has great composure on the ball.Rafael is still a bit impetuous at times but he does his job well and its great to see him surge forward. One all draw at the Bernabéu with no Vidic in the back four is massive and says a lot.

As for De Gea,last nights game was made for him and boy did he perform.A few years in the rough and tumble of the Premiership and a bit of filling out he is going to mature into a fantastic goalkeeper.

I'm feeling very confident about the next leg at home, can't wait.

Massive respect to Ronaldo for his muted celebration, top man!

Mourinho to replace Fergie in a few years and he brings Ronaldo with him,Ronaldo to have the longevity of Giggs! (I can wish can't I lol?)

Cheers Liam, I was gonna look that goal up but you saved me the trouble! 8)

I heard Suarez missed 3 or 4 chances last night. Ahh well, dont give a **** about that stupid over-blown UEFA cup. It's a waste of time and even UEFA themselves see it as second rate and a bit of a farce. Seriously why do those teams that get dumped out of the CL get parachuted into it? It really makes no sense at all. The only reason is to let them make a bit more money.

UEFA cup should be unseeded (as should CL) and it should be knock out over two legs all the way. There are enough sides in it that you'll get a decent number of games if you go on to win it, and this way there won't be the tedium of pointless group games.
