The keeper was too close to say it was a goal scoring opp for me. Yes if the keeper fouled he'd be off but he'd (presumably) would be the one denying the goal chance.

Thought it was a harsh red. Correct by the letter of the law but you see that **** every week and players get away scott free. I don't like it, but it just highlights the inconsistencies of referees when he gets a straight red for that and next week someone will get away with it, or will only be booked.
All we want is consistency.

As for Pool scum game. If Pool had turned up in the first half it would have been interesting. As it was 2-1 was probably a fair result. Pool did NOTHING in the first 45 mins.
Kinda like the FA cup final. Why do we have to wait until we are 2-0 down before we change tactics and start to play!?

Shocked to say the least with Adkins being sacked.

Appointing a manager that has never managed in England before is incredibly risky by the Saints board! Could it work?

What a joke - for me there must be something deeper here - Adkins has done wonders with that team and the way they came back against Chelski the other night was fantastic

Both full backs are major concerns. Gibbs is not a PL quality player. Was promising 2 or 3 years ago but hasn't developed
