It was 20 years ago today, 11th December 2005, that I registered the starwarsforum.co.uk domain name. I want to say a big thanks to all members, past and present, who have contributed in some way over the last two decades. I'm especially grateful to those of you who still use the forum now despite the pull of social media.

Also a big thanks to @Blackbeard for taking over the reigns in 2021, I'm sure you will all agree the site has been running much more smoothly since then, it was a bit of a running joke that the site used to catastrophically fail every few years and I had to spend weeks fixing it 😂

Here's to another 20 years! :giggle:

20 year Anniversary - superb
Well obviously a big thank you for creating our favourite SW hang out and to the admins over the years for all their time and patience :)
You really did create a special place that continues to bring fans together in a positive way.
Cheers Blackbeard for taking the forum forward. As you said exciting times ahead (y)
Oh and it's our wedding anniversary today so that makes the date even cooler

Well, I feel old(er)

I remember joining sometime in December 2005 I think 🤔

Though for some reason my profile says Oct 2006
Because of one of said crashes probably.

Adding my voice to the choir: thanks for all the hard work Edd and Blackbeard, and thanks for creating a safe haven away from the 'social' media **** storm.

Many happy returns to the best Star Wars forum on the web! Many thanks to Edd, Blackbeard and all the mods for their sterling efforts down the years. It really is appreciated, and I am both proud and pleased to be a member of this excellent group.

20 years is quite a milestone. I joined in January 2016 (although I had lurked for some time prior to that), but I'm in it for the long haul now. The only way you'll get rid of me is feet first! :)

Here's to the next 20 years!

Jeremy

This forum was directly responsible for opening up my collecting world and meeting other actual collectors, rather than Star wars collecting being a thing I did entirely by myself, like some kind of weirdo! I'd honestly never met or chatted to a fellow collector before joining swfuk.

...I really wish my old account could be recovered though 😔

I remember when I joined you were MIA Edd and a bit of a mythical figure. I think you had just been robbed and were totally bummed out on SW. Anyway, I think Weasel, Ron and Bullox were left to hold the fort. Dark days indeed. :p

It's been an honour & a privilegebeing a part of what to me is still the best SW forum ever, huge thanks for all the efforts put in on our behalvesby Edd Blackbeard & the rest of the admin team, we'd be lost without you.

There's been ups & downs over the years but this place has never disapointed, mad I've been here for the majority of those years, I look forward to seeing what the next 20 bring, with luck a return to them when SM shatters, here really is where the heart is.

Can the Christmas Elf recover X PAC s old account!!??

Just pm d you mate….it may help in recovering:)
I didn't see this message mate. Thank you. I would be so good to get my account back.

I can't begin to imagine how the collecting environment would look without SWFUK. I've made some incredible friends thanks to this community forum. It's been an absolute source of information, selling, banter, charity and sharing.
I joined in August 2011, so looking at 15 years this year. I'm hugely grateful to Edd and the various Mods who have helped steer this ship along the way. Grateful to Blackbeard also, although my contributions here over the last few years have been lacking.
Thank you and congratulations. May SWFUK enjoy another 20!
