Haven't seen any of the FA cup highlights, caught the last 5 mns of the first half and all of the second half of Pool game.
Gotta agree with Liam, that was one hell of an easy chance Jones spilled for Oldam's second. I'd expect a Sunday league keeper to save that. Ok, everyone drops a bollock once in a while, but I think he just proved he's not good enough for the PL.
As for the rest of them, Borini and Coates confirmed what we already knew, they flatter to deceive. Glad we didn't spend 11 million on Borini in the summer.............
The game itself wasn't pretty. Very much a 'cup tie'. From what I saw, Pool played the better footy, but Oldham with their more direct style (and by all means play to your strengthss, FFS if they tried to play a passing game against a PL side they were bound to lose) caused all sorts of problems to Liverpool's back line. I'd say Oldham deserved it, they fought like Trojans.
Embarrassing one for Liverpool, but maybe it's shown Rodgers that a few of his squad players just aren't up to it. Though they haven't hidden that fact all season!
Seen none of the Spurs game but Kudos to Leeds cos that looked like an almost full strength Spurs team they beat.
Ditto to Luton!
On another note, from a neutrals point of view it was sad to see both Manchester club (the two favourites) get cushy home draws. Ohh and I saw a stat that said EVERY Man U FA cup game has been shown live since 2005 or so!?
Surely to christ a few other clubs deserve a bit of exposure?
I understand Utd are the biggest and most supported team, but to have televised EVERY SINGLE FA cup game they have played for the guts of the last EIGHT years........
