Ohh, and a question fr Utd fans, What does Fred actually do!?
He's not a ball winner, he's not an attacking midfielder, he doesn't dribble, he doesn't seem to have an overly special range of passing, i'm not sure he's an organiser. So ehhh WTF does he actually do? He just looks very meh.

Granted he will need time to adapt to the PL, but so far, so unimpressive.

****ing hell Spurs, talk about making a meal out of it. I know I bang on about luck not going our way but I'd love to know how many professional footballers have given away TWO penalties on their debut in the history of football. It wouldn't surprise me if tonight was a world first. Still, just about got the result so can't complain too much.

The Arsenal Pool game was very good, have to say Arsenal looked decent.

Do Spurs ever make life easy on themselves? Jesus, as much as I love the club, it's a very rare Spurs game where I feel relaxed whilst watching it! Kane looked on good form though, and was a little unlucky to only score one goal today, I thought. However, the Dembele injury looked pretty nasty, so that's another slice of bad luck for Pochettino :-(. Still, back up to 4th in the league can't be bad, so I shouldn't complain too loudly, I suppose

Man City now have the same goal difference (29) as they do points. That is an average of winning by 3 goals per game  this team is unstoppable! And exactly why I was somewhat relieved Spurs 'only' lost 1-0.

Yeap, they are scary good.

The team that finishes second to them would probably win the PL in most other season, and win it well, but I suspect you're gonna need 95+pts to win it this year and that's only been done once before by ehhh City last year.
There's no shame in losing to that City team, or finishing below them.

Don't worry everyone, Man Utd will stop them on Sunday. Don't think parking the bus will work, we're toning to need an oil tanker.

That game is a win win for Liverpool fans. No matter what happens someone is dropping points. If it's City it keep the title ehhh "race" interesting for a few more weeks (only delays the inevitable) if it's Utd I get to laugh at them and if it's a draw well, both happen.

Sadly, I expect City to win quite comfrotably, but you never know.

Big old game for Spurs tonight. To have ANY remote lingering hope they HAVE to win.
PSV are not great and Spurs should win but I suspect the pressure and the fact they have conceded late in 2 of the 3 CL games so far might mean it's a nervey last 10-20 if there's only a goal or 2 in it. Fingers crossed it's 3-0 at HT and we can all relax.

That was abysmal. It was so bad that I would be happy to see Moreno come into the team for Saturday. He could pick any of the eleven positions and still be better than whoever "played" there tonight.

It would have been a travesty if Spurs hadn't won last night with 75% possession and 30 attempts, yet it still felt like a narrow win. Those stats just prove they don't take chances and are punished during small lapses in concentration. Glad they got the result (just) but as Inter managed to draw against Barcelona, I still think we're out. At least it means we don't have two meaningless games coming up though.

Anyone seen that Man City penalty? Ridiculous! As if they need any help from the officials, if that had happened in a big game I can't imagine the uproar it would course.

Yeap. That was the same ref who gave Switzerland that penalty that knock my lot out of the last WC playoffs. The one were the forward hit a cross first time straight into the defender who was 4 feet away and tryng to turn his back, it hit his arm and side so clearly a penalty.

Still, I'm not bitter we qualify for lots of World Cups so why should I mind being robbed of a spot at one by incompetant refereeing.

Saw chunks of the Utd game last night. HOW they won that I will never know. It was 1999-esque daylight robbery. Juve should have been 3 or 4 up before their coach came up with the genius tactical change of shape that invited Utd on to them and cost them the game. Fair dos to Utd superb, if unmerited, result though.
Ohh and Sczecny (spelling) is still shite. He is the glaring weak link in that Juve team. Surely they can find a better keeper than that idiot!?

Same ref! Why is he still refereeing?!!

I said to the Mrs last night shame that Juventus game wasn't the final, because it reminded me of the '99 final, Juve hit the post and cross bar as well. At 1-0 I said Szczesny was their weak link and although it was a very difficult ball to deal with for the second UTD goal a top goalkeeper would have punched that IMO.

Juventus missed some chances, the one that went over the bar when they were 1-0 up should have finished UTD and yes they should have easily won, but it was nice to wipe the smile off Ronaldo's face. :)

Yeah, never bad to see him get the smile wiped off his face.

What the Juve coach was doing changing formation I'll never know. He cost his team the game. Well, him and schezny.

Utd can't have too many complaints there. City were simply better. No shame in that mind you, they are gonna go down as one of the PL's all time great sides.

Pool were lucky against Fulham. FA wrong with their goal, 12 seconds later Pool are 1 up and the game is effectively over. Liverpool still don't look a patch on last year. The final ball just isn't there and hasnt been most of the season. When does a dip in form become something to worry about?
Fulham have problems. Big problems. They were very poor today. I smell a new manager coming.

Arsenal drop points at home to Wolves. That's probably more of a test than the Liverpool game. Players can lift themselves for one game but it's the routine games that tell you where you are. Still, massive positive strides made by them under Emery. So much different from the last 3 or 4 years of gradual decline under Wenger.

Yes depressing watching that derby as a Utd supporter. More worrying is that we're 7 points off the top 4. City are so much better than Man Utd in the final third it's frightening.

I didn't watch the Fulham game but did catch the first goal, not much you can really say to that! I do feel Liverpool would have found a way to win yesterday no matter what though.

Liverpool have got to keep grinding out results and not let City open up a gap.

No one will stop that City team winning the league.
We need either Pep to bog off or something major to happen within the squad, a big bust up or the like.

Yes will be nice to see him back in the PL. Is that the first sacking of the season in PL? If so is that a record?

Thoughts on Wayne Rooney getting a special bonus free cap cos ehhh he plays in America and they are playing the Yanks?

Personally, i think it's a ****ing disgrace. Caps should be won on merit not handed out to people who "have been great servants". Why not given Peter Shilton another one? He was a better servant than Wazza, he doesnt have mega millions in the bank, he never ****ed a granny. I'm sure he'd love being the oldest cap international player as well.
If I was England captain on the night I would have refused to hand over the arm band. Absolute disgrace.

As for that bonus for yer man who run the PL and earned 2.5m a year, it's even worse. I'm just amazed the clubs said anything other than "**** right off" when it was suggested.
