Already told the missus he can support anyone he wants, not even I would inflict Liverpool on a child, BUT if he says he wants to support Utd he's going to the orphanage.

Joking aside I don't even think my son is ever going to be into football, not like me anyway. Best to let them find their own things I think. My son does like Star Wars but he also likes a lot of other stuff that I would have loved if it was around in my day.

That said I've already told him his life will be a lot easier if he supports Man Utd.

Aye, I'm happy to let him make his own choices. The missus is religious and I'm a fairly militant anti-theist. I always said I wouldn't baptise my kids into any religion but neither wud I tell them that (I think) it's all bollocks. They can find their own way without either parent (or a church) brainwashing them. Same goes for footy and most other things. But if he says he supports Utd he'll probably be homeless

Agreed, but credit where it's due. I have been a critic of Sterling's England record, which is well below his one for Man City, but his first goal yesterday was very well taken indeed, as was Rashford's (which was a relief after his rather feeble efforts against Croatia on Friday).

I also thought Kane's outfield play and his two assists were superb, and especially unselfish for Sterling's second, which gave England a very strong platform from which to go on and win the game.

So the proper football is back tomorrow. Who's going to win out of City and Utd, and will it be Jose's last game? A draw would suit me.

Jose will pull something out of nowhere and survive until November. Or not. Probably be a nil nil thriller

All depends on Jose. Chelsea will play the way they have all season. Does Jose has the guts to try and out play them or will it be a bus parking job.
I know what my money is on.

If we try and play football against Chelsea I can see it being a 3,4 or even 5 - 0. If we 'park the bus' or just defend properly for once we may have a chance of nicking it. Our record at Stamford Bridge is abysmal, 6% win ratio or something like that since the PL began. So I don't really expect much from this Man Utd side tomorrow.

I think they should stick with him no matter what, just to see what would happen in the January window. He's made some bad signings, which all managers do, it's whether or not he get's the chance to amend those poor signings or not. By that I mean the board signing someone he ask's for.

This season is shaping up as normal, Arsenal have won 6 in a row, the entire club is happy and the fans think all their problems are behind them. One of my Liverpool mates has already said if Liverpool don't win the league this year then they will definitely in it next year.

Speaking of win records, did you see in BBC News today that Jose's 60% win ratio is not only better than Moyes and LVG, but it's actually better than Fergie's (59%.) So yeah, I can see why he's pissed about the witch hunt.

Yeah saw that the win over Newcastle did it, would like to see Fergies ratio in his first 3 seasons as well. Jose is also the first ever Man Utd to win a major trophie in his first season.

Your mate is a moron.
Any Liverpool fan who says that is a ****ing tool.

As for today's game, bit of a strange one. Credit to Jose for NOT parkin t bus, that was quite an attacking line up. I always prefer a manager who goes down fighting rather than trying to grind out pts. The game itself was a bit, well, meh. Chelsea much the better in first half, Utd better on the break in the second half. Neither side really created many clear cut chances. As a neutral (I despise both clubs) I'm not sure U cud say either side deserved to win.
A bit typical of the early kick offs all a bit flat and cagey, as if both sides are still half asleep.
Nice to see a bit of a ruckus at the end even if it was handbags at 5 paces.

Yeah their was two of them and the other Liverpool fan who knows me well just new straight away that I was going to destroy him for that comment, after I picked myself of the floor loughing it was to late.

As for that Chelsea game, I think Man Utd did well to get a point, although annoying to give away a goal like that right at the death. It was avoidable as well, if Sanchez busts a gut to stop that cross we win the game. Nice to see some fight again from Utd, Jose wont get sacked, trust me. :?

I've got another mate coming to visit later and he's an avid Liverpool fan, I'm just of up the ladder to pull the lead out of my Sky dish, I can't sit through Liverpool thrashing Huddersfield!

We'll not mention Pogba's "marking" for Chelsea's first either.
Still, at least he held his hands up and didn't just blame the nearest other Utd player.
If I was Linderof I would have gone through him for a short cut. Ditto whoever the Utd captain was. You **** up, you hold your hands up. That's why he isn't captaincy material.

Jurgen has made a good few changes for Pool, so it could be a bit disjointed. These are the kind of games Liverpool specilaise in ****ing up.

Yeah I forgot about Pogba, he really is a joke some times. Before that corner was taken Sky put a stat up saying Chelsea are 18th worst team for scoring from corners and only score from every 52 corners.

Huddersfield have not won in 6 months!

I was quite impressed with the Spurs win on Saturday. Not because it was a great game or because we scored loads of goals (our goal difference sucks at the moment) but because for all the claims of a shallow squad and failure to sign any players, they managed to look like a coherent team without Vertonghen, Alli, Erriksen, Son, Rose, or Dembele starting. that's over HALF the first 11 squad not playing for one reason or another, yet we still looked like a half decent team. Now sure Spurs don't have a Ronaldo, or a Pogba, or a Bale. The closest we have is Kane. But honestly I'd rather have a plethora of decent players than one superstar and a load of dead weight.

Only saw highlights of spuds game but it looks like both them and Liverpool are grinding out results or winning when playing badly/nt at their best, at the minute. That's a case of 'glass half full or glass half empty' depending on your point of view.

As for Huddersfield, they did ok against Pool, they made it hard for Liverpool, who admittedly were not great, and on another day they could have got a point. But their forward line is pish. That's what will kill them.

City on the other hand look scary. Yes, Kompany should have gone inside 30 seconds and the second goal was a farce but take nothing away from that beating. They will take some stopping.

Champions league this week. Must win for Spurs.

On another note, nice to see yer man at Real doing so badly. Anyone who is prepared to **** his own country over two days before a WC, and any club who are prepared to do the same, deserve what Real are getting now. And a lot more too. Horrible hateful club.

10 wins in a row 8)
First half tonight we rode our luck on more than one occasion but second half, particularly with the introduction of Aubameyang, I thought we were pretty dominant and deserved the win. I know we are yet to play a big club after the opening two games but you can only beat what's in front of you. Liverpool in a couple of weeks and then Spurs and Utd at the start of December will really show where this Arsenal side are.

I saw bits of the game, between nappy changes (the kid's not mine!) and generally having to talk to the wife. Arsenal were poor first half but looked good second half. They do remind me of Kevin Keegan's Newcastle though. They are fantastic going forard but I suspect a decent side will expose that defence and punish them.

Yep, plus we're nearly at November, traditionally our worst month under Wenger and it kicks off with the visit of Liverpool
