Be fascinating that game tonight and on Saturday. Bloody Liverpool fans who are my friends are doing my head. It's about time then won the league, 28 years later!

I think JM has had it at Man Utd, is he ever going to realise you can't fall out with half the sqaud any more. I may be wrong but we will see, my bet is he's gone by December. :?

I can't comment on last night's game as I didn't watch it. I have a long standing refusal to watch any Liverpool game Mingers and Moreno play. Looks like auld Moreno picked up where he left off. Hazard's goal was superb but WHAT IN THE NAME OF GOOD **** is Moreno doing for it. He manages to run five yards the wrong way TWICE in 5 seconds. Watch the goal again, but this time watch Moreno.

Genuinely, I can't think of a worse player in the PL. He has had the guts of a year out of the team and at no point in that time has he bothered to learn how to tackle, mark or how to Shepard players away from goal. I don't know what he actually does in training. It's not as if he is Roberto Carlos or Marcelo in an attacking sense either. His shooting is, well, he shoots like a left back and his crossing is just as hit or miss.
I would rather see the tea-lady kitted up, with her trolley in tow, than see that retard in a Liverpool shirt again.

Spurs were lucky to scrape through, although we conceded another "how the **** did that go in" goal when Watford's late equaliser was a "shot" going for the corner flag until it deflected off one of the defenders backs and went in

City, Chelsea, Arse and Spuds left in. What odds three of those four make it to the semi finals?

And Liverstool out. No disgrace losing to Chelski, I suppose, but I'm sure they'll be focusing more this weekend. It will be interesting to see if the result is different, even if it is at Stamford Bridge this time.

Well I bloody hope Liverpool play their defence and keeper this time. Taking on chelsea at Anfield with no back 5 is one thing but at Stamford Bridge it's suicidal.

TBF Chelsea made a few changes as well, so it could be an interesting game.

Pool's next two PL games, Chelsea (A) and City at Anfield. We'll see how good Liverpool are after those.

Hopefully we'll see how **** they are!

Joking aside I think we could get a genuine 3 horse race this season, Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool. Spurs could be in there as well. Would be great if 3 teams were still in with a chance come April/May.

Whilst I'm not deluded enough to think we can get close to the title I do think we could have a fair attempt at 4th, which is in itself very nearly a trophy :?

Yes it is Mr Wenger.

COYI!!! Looks like we're finding our feet. Of course, everyone will say how bad Man Ure were, but we deserve a lot of credit- played really well all over the park 8)

Yeah West Ham deserved that today, although another day they could have had two goals chalked off. Man Utd are in trouble, I can't see where their next win is going to come from in the league? :?

Looking forward to the Chelsea - Liverpool game. :D

Now you know how everyone else feels- the amount of decisions that have gone against us (and most other teams) vs Man U over the years is crazy! And your goal came from a corner that wasnt a corner (as far as I could make out). Yeah, it doesn't look good for you at the mo- typical Mourinho 3rd season syndrome... get rid of him and Pogba, then rebuild.

A convincing Spurs win, we only get a couple every season so thoroughly enjoyed it :)

If that had been Utd winning that game in the same fashion, everyone would be talking about how Man Utd were lucky and as usual the main decisions whent our way. But everyone is talking about how **** we were and rightly so, but don't ask me to agree that most decisions go Utds way and we don't know how it feels when they don't and it never happens because that's bollucks. Your saying that the FA and UEFA have favoured us down the years which is rubbish. You won fair and square as everyone does. :?

Personal experience of WHU vs MU over the years and MU have had absolutely all of the decisions, until yesterday. Sendings off, offside goals, MU players that shouldve been sent off, down to all the little 50-50's. I think you're probably right that overall, it has changed a bit and evened out, especially since Ferguson left. It's not just a Man U thing though anymore, I guess. I think the top 6 generally get most of the decisions going their way against the smaller clubs.

Do you think Maureen will go? Looks untenable to me...

I can sympathise with the 'Utd get the rub if the green' theory. I do remember a lot of fortunate decisions going for them. Though everyone remembers the lucky/unlucky decisions that go against them a lot more than the ones that go for them. We all know the auld soft penalty at OT thing, and how many years in a row was it when no opposition team got a penalty there?
BUT, it is or was almost certainly overblown, and it has died off since Fergy left. Whether that's cos Utd aren't as good now or becuase they aren't dominating they don't pin teams in as much, build up as much pressure and create the opportunities for soft decisions to come their way.

Saying that, I can also sympathise with the theory that 'big teams' get the rub of the green against smaller teams. Again though, I don't know if that is an unconscious bias in the refs head or if it is the fact the big teams tend to dominate the small teams and create more chances etc.

I watched the WH Utd game yesteray and I do agree, the first was offside, though it was only a yard or so, so it is one of those where I give the linesman a little leeway. But on another week that could/should have been chalked off. The second was a pure fluke. One of those goals that only goes in when things are going against you. Had Utd been 3 up or top of the league that would have flown wide and never been thought of again.
Saying all that though, WH totally dominated and the scoreline was probably a fair reflection of the game.
Utd just look like a fraction of the team they should be. I'm not sure any if their squad could claim to be playing at even 70% of the level they are capabale of. DDG aside, and keepers are kinda different in that respect.

I don't think Jose can take ALL the blame, a lot of the problems precede his appointment. But as I have said before given the money he has spent at Utd he is doing no more than a bang average job. He hasn't even spent well, Pogba has never looked 'world class' in a Utd shirt. Sure he has a few great games but he also has a few more anonymous games. Sanchez has been dire, linderof, Baily, Mkhitaryan, all been underwhelming. Lukaku is a very good PL player but I'm still not convinced he is good enough for a team with serious CL ambitions. Can anyone name me a player who has improved during Jose's time at Utd? DDG possibly, but he was superb pre Jose and is still superb now, and keepers are different. Now that players are getting pissed off with him, and I'm not really sure Utd bought into his "them against us" guff (does 'them against us' work at a club like Utd that considers itself one of the biggest/best in the world?), i can only see one out come. The question is when does he go? Is he sacked or does he leave in the summer?
I won't miss him. He is a horrible horrible human being.

As far as replacements go. Two stand out contenders, zidane who is available and has the best CL record in history. Though he has also managed to finish second and third in three seasons in a two team league, so I don't actually know if he is a good manager or not. Let's be fair, any of us could manage Real to 3rd in La Liga.
Then there is Potchetino (spelling), sorry Edd. I think he would be the ideal fit for Utd. Assuming they take a long term view and give him money and a few years to sort the squad out.
Saying that the Utd Board have ****ed up the last three appointments. Given Jose looks like ending in failure (can 1 Europa League and a Worthless cup count as anything else? CL qualification should be a given at a club the size of Utd especially with their squad) so I would be expecting a few of them to do the decent thing and quit, or hand over that decision to someone who knows about football. There's more chance of me winning miss Universe though.

There is the same aura around OT now that Liverpool had during the end of Brendan's time and during the entirity of uncle Woy's time. The same aura Moyesy brought with him to OT. It's as if everyone and his dog know it isn't working out and it won't work out but no one wants to be the one to hammer the final nail in the coffin.

Your probably right about the top 6 thing, I would like to see some stats on it though.

It does look pretty untenable for JM, he seems to have lost the dressing room in his third season. No suprise their, remarkable that he can't foresee the fact he's making the same mistake over and over again. Rumours are that Zidane is lined up, he's already taking English lessons? Other rumours circulating around Old Trafford that the players expect JM to be gone by the end of next week.

Pogba is a complete idiot for the trouble he has caused, but we new he was before we resigned him. Fergie sold him because he was causing trouble at the age of 19. The club is in a right mess right from the top and the trouble is the owners don't give a toss because financially we're still the biggest club in the world. I've been going to OT for over 20 years on and off, but recently it's be terrible. The last game I went to I couldn't believe how many tourist were their. This women sat next to me and watched the entire game through her mobile phone!

I applied for the Young Boys game in December and for the first time ever I didn't get tickets and they wander why the atmosphere is **** at old Trafford, but it sums the club up completely. The team is playing really bad but every match is stIll a sell out because of the huge fan base so the owners don't really care and if they don't you have no chance. Edd Woodwood needs to go as well he's completely incompetent. Getting a new manager in isn't going to guarantee anything, the entire club needs a rocket put through it.

Man U isnt a football club. It's a business. That's why Woodward is perfectly safe in his job. The owners ONLY care about the money and as long as it keeps coming in they are happy. The CL is a big part of that, should Jose miss out on that he will be gone. Beyond that though the owners don't really care.

They bought Utd using debts secured against Utd's assets, effectively they bought
Utd using Utd's own money.
