FFS, how are Spurs not at least 5-1 up against Fulham. I've never seen so many missed chances.

Ricarlison scores again, god Edd, you knowing nothing about football. I told you he was brilliant. Lol

Was it as bad as I have heard?

Yeah he's certainly showing us up so far! Always happy to be proved wrong by an underdog, much more enjoyable watching a La Liga star fail miserably in a proper league.

Brighton were bloody good today, if they played like that every week they'd be well up there. Don't get me wrong Utd weren't great, but every Brighton goal was decent and well deserved.

City wrapped it up already?

Ricarlison started like this last year and then didn't score in his last 20 odd games, so I'm holding for atm, but he has done a lot better than I was expecting.

Good to see the press are full of Utd in crisis BS, the season is 2 games old and they have lost 1 FFS.
Yes, they aren't exactly setting the world on fire but "crisis" is just rubbish. Are they THAT desperate to sell a few more papers? Maybe try writing some more interesting guff on a regular basis and people will buy your paper regularly, rather than the sensational BS that will all be swept under the carpet if Utd beat Spurs this weekend (when obviously then Spurs will be in crisis) .

In the first half we went from appalling to potentially going in 5-2 up. We cannot continue to play a line that high if we aren't going to pay attention and be prepared to run ourselves into the ground to get back and tackle.
Second half was a bit meh from both teams.
Overall I don't think we have anything to worry about with our attacking players but defensively we still need to improve. It's like Wenger never left

I heard the CB's were woeful. Defensively all over the shop.
Pretty much, the thing is though we'll still have enough up front to get past 15 other teams in the division and once you're up there you can potentially fluke 4th place which will be viewed by the owner as a successful season and being honest we'll probably also have enough to get to the final stages of the Europa league as well

Ohh aye, that Arsenal squad is good enough for 6th at a minimum. EL is a bit f a joke, I suspect Emery will play the kids/squad players until after xmas when he'll have a better idea of your chances of winning it, if Atletico etc drop in again then you won't win it.

It's just a question of can Arsenal push on for 4th (or better) and or can they win EL and scrape in to Cl that way. I'll be amazed if one of Arsenal/Chelsea isn't in the EL final, assuming we don't have 3/4 big teams drop down from CL.

Yes Everton playing some good football but a soft centre which is no suprise. Good that City dropped points, although they were done. Could be the season where 3 or 4 teams get it together and go for the title right until the end. Liverpool look very good. :x

Aye, Wolves' goal was handball, but none of the City players saw it or appealed so I have a lot of sympathy with the Lino and Ref missing it.

Pool weren't great yesterday. They were the better side but it's just not quite clicking in the final third ATM.

Tight game between Utd and Spurs so far, Utd are really going for it, haven't seen them play so intensely for a while. They've been the better side so far, but Spurs should have had a penalty. Second half should be interesting, I'd take a draw right now.

Brilliant second half from Spurs. I Wish they played like this all the time. Too often they are the team with 75% possession and 20+ shots on goal but nothing to show for it, tonight they took a hammering from Utd but made it count when they got the chance. And when they had the lead, finally Poch saw sense and threw another defender on. It's not rocket science!

Who needs summer signings when Lucas Moura and Alderweireld decide to start playing again 8)

I think Edd summed it up well. Utd were the better side in the first half and for chunks of the second half but Spurs were more clinical and won. Not sure it was a 3-0 game, not that Spurs fans will care. Good to see Jose took it well. Wanker. I feel a tad sorry for Utd fans and players as all the talk of "Utd crisis" is gubbins. We're 3 games in and they didn't actually play that badly last night. Jose on the other hand deserves all the stick he gets. He can dish it one but as soon as things start to go against him he implodes and drags everyone down with him.

It was a strange old game both sides had decent chances and fluffed them and I don't actually think either team played THAT well or badly for that matter. Deli Ali was woeful all night. He was soooo laboured and slow in the final third, both with his passes and with that chance he ****ed up. How he wasn't subbed I don't know. As for Danny Rose, all I can say is that reminded me of Moreno. At one point he had the ball 5 yards from his goal line instead of hitting it as far away he could he picked out an unmarked Utd player 20 yards away. Cue 5 mins of incessant pressure. Then in the second half he clatters into (pogba, maybe) on the edge of the box and gives away a needless free kick. FFS he WANTS you to run into him, he's going nowhere, just hassle him. Spurs would do well to flog him to PSG or whoever else is interested cos he was piss poor.
Mind you Utd's players were no better. Phil Jones was Phil Jones. WHAT THE **** Herrera was doing for the second goal, I'll never know. Granted he may be a holding midfielder playing as a right sided CB (someone explain that to me!?) but it's not that difficult, all you do is take your position from your central CB. what you don't do is stand FIFTEEN YARDS behind him playing everyone onside. A ****ing school child knows that.
As for Linderof, dear god. That was shambolic. His attempted assist for a Spurs chance was bad but ehh where the **** was he for Spurs third goal!? Why was Dave Smalling left one on one with Moura (who played bloody well, have Spurs finally found someone who can play along side Harry Kane, or even allow Harry to be rested)? The other CB should be there to cover. Dave still should have stayed on his feet and not dived in but the blame lies with linderof for me. If he's a thirty million pound centre back I'm Miss World!
The fact Jose is the one who paid big bucks for him, and Baily, is probably half the reason the Board aren't keen to hand him even more money to spend on CB's. A good manager makes do with what he has and improves the players under him. Look at how Klopp, Poch, Conte and even Ranierri all improved various players in their time at their clubs. Jose has ALWAYS been a cheque book manager. Buying in new players (normally 27-32 year olds with limited resale value) and moving on before the hens come home to roost. His problem is none of the Utd players are falling for his usual 'them against us' gubbins. I dunno if it's cos it has lost its effectiveness after so much repetition, if it's cos it's Utd and the mentality is different or if it's just modern footballers being snow flakes. But Jose's plan A isn't working and he has no plan B.
I'm not sure if he'll last the season, Utd's nxt 5 games are pretty easy, Burnley, Watford, Wolves, WH and Newcastle, that takes them to mid October. Win three or four of them, draw one or two and suddenly someone else is in "crisis" and the media will move on. The problem is Utd look a team that is so much less than the sum of their parts. Sanchez doesn't look like a quarter of the player he was at Arsenal. Can they find some confidence from somewhere? Will Jose stop being a dick for long enough to let the media storm pass? His normal routine of drawing the media attention onto himself to save his players isn't going to work as HE is the problem. Either way I will be amazed if Jose is Utd boss at the start of next season.
Whoever comes in Ed Woodward needs to make sure he gets the appointment right, cos Moyes was a disaster (tho Fergy cops a lot of the blame there, and whatever morons agreed to let him pick his successor. One of the dumbest ideas I have ever heard), LVG was mediocre and Jose has certainly not taken the club forward. I'm not sure there has been any discernible change at Utd since Jose took over.

Yeah Alli missed 2 easy chances because he won't use his left foot ever, needs to work on that. Have always thought Rose is a liability, no change last night. I thought Utd were great in the first half, sometimes you play well and lose, that's football not a crisis. But Jose won't last much longer unless he loses the attitude.

Agreed. And you were right in your earlier post, Spurs should have had a penalty. I really don't know why people say penalties are rarely given against Utd at OT

I havnt got time to say much now about that game, a bit worrying for even top 4 place. Especially when you play that well and don't even score! That said we have gone from being one of the best sides defensively (first half of last season) to being a complete shambles, with the same group of players. Phil Jones is finished or should be, he's a joke.

This is exactly why Jose doesn't like playing like that, you play well and get nothing. Of course it was a pen Phil Jones gives one away every time he plays. I'd like to see the stats on pens at Old Trafford, I can think of Liverpool getting 4 in recent years!!!
