match of the day

Wozza, after today's "performance" I think you might be supporting a team in the Championship next year!

I think you may be right  with that performance they dont deserve to be in the premiership

For me Carragher, Hyppia, Henchoz, Riise and Hamman deserve just as much credit for our success in this decade. :D[/quote]

hamman has to be one of the most uncredited players i have ever known

Jay I'm with you as a united fan :D
Looking forward to all the abuse from the scouse fans :?
let me guess you all started supporting liverpool in the early eighties

well since were all about 31 ,that would make us about 6 or 7 .about the age when you pick your team.and we werent gonna pick a shite team like scum

Most of my friends are liverpool fans and yet they all still enjoy calling me a glory hunter :D :D
Must admit I enjoy the banter, would be boring if we all supported the same team :(
Any Chelsea fans on the forum?

thank god roundster , was begining to think i was all alone

 when i started supporting utd they were not very good. my dad loved them and so i guess i just followed suit. he used to go on about seeing george best and others he had seen play . but i guess as i am the same sort of age as scholes, beckham, neville, butt, giggs etc i have grown up with them and feel that they were a bunch of lads my age that lived a dream most of us had

plus alot of you are from the north /north west and will pick northern teams. not to many teams in south lincs so thats why such a good variety of clubs supported

My Dad hated football, but my best mate had family in manchester so decided it was better to be an individual than follow the crowd, so united got my support!
It helped that they had Robson, Whiteside and Hughes :D
Best football memory is being sat in full kit watching the 1985 cup final when whiteside scored that cracker to beat Everton in extra time :D
Second best was the treble and what toped that one off was my mate (a staunch liverpool fan) getting caught up in the moment and cheering the winner

And I guess you suddenly became a United fan around 1994 when you actually started to win things ?!!

sir alex ferguson ... most successful manager of an english team , you cant argue with that lads
Only because Sir Bob Paisley retired when he did otherwise Fergie would never have caught him !!

Ferguson got lucky that he had a load of talented kids coming through all at once, plus he was one game away from being sacked !!

I walk away from the pc for 2 mins and it all gets nasty
Craig: have got the photo's of me in man u kit in 1985, (white with sharp and black stripe over the shoulders).
John: His name is Rich and we watched the match in the picturedrome in northampton. If you asked him now he would deny all knowledge, but I swear it happened :D :D
