Christ. What a conman. I wonder how much he has fleeced out of collectors over the years? I wish the scammers would stop faking Star Wars toys, it makes me question my future of collecting- its a constant thing with difficult to find objects that I want to own.

First shots and other prototypes

I was thinking about making an offer on the Fett but balls

Ed, you'll get there as they do come up from reputable sources once in a while. Even on ebay you might get lucky (got my VC Jawa from there and it's a beauty). There's some merit into it being a bit of a challenge too, right? :D

Emi did this ID come up anywhere that I have missed then ? I knew jessharpers account was linked with Billy and perhaps another couple but I didn't think Bambarooney was one of his ID's?

Just checking as I followed it pretty closely and it doesn't ring a bell - don't want the wrong guy getting framed lol

Hmm I might have been mistaken then. It may be I'm seeing ghosts behind every tree since I walked into one of his traps.

I know- the chase is a massive part of collecting. Its a great buzz when you snag a rare item....
But, the scammers who have been outed recently were once reputable sources. It makes it really difficult to fully trust anybody

Never pays to be over cautious though, most of them are like boomerangs..

I know hes on the bay under a couple of ids'- normally selling odd ball items, lobby cards + cinema stuff , with the occasional palitoy piece for good measure..

Not Bill Rogers, that's Mike Bamber, he has a facebook page linked to the email address I used to paypal him for a couple of AFA 90 MOC ebay auctions a few years ago. No problems with either transaction.

I didn't think it was Bill Rodgers either, I did a deal with Bamberooney about 3 years ago and had no problems.

Yes! An average of £200 each, buying as bulk lot is way too expensive. It is a great lot but only a dealer would buy them. He would be looking to sell them on average for £200-£250 each so he will only want to pay £100-£120 each..... I would say £4000-5000 is the most he will get :?:

Yeah there was another large AFA carded lot on the bay til today. 92 graded figures. He wanted £15000 for the lot. A tad optimistic me thinks!

Think I jumped to a conclusion because bam500 is one of Bill's ebay user names.

Sorry Mike, if you're lurking.
