Latest Modern Acquisitions

Thanks Chiff, been looking at these figures for ages but the price tag has turned me off them many a time, but this £5 deal is way to good to turn down.

Finds of the day, the two VC were £2.69, the troopers were £5.99 and the Blu Ray( I know it's not a SW buy!) was a £4.99.

I've just won that trooper pack on ebay, wondered how i got it for less than a tenner! Musta got it on the same place you did lol.

Opened that pack for loose Troopers, the figures are nice but the ankles are not articulated oddly, hampers the ability to stand without a figure stand.

A few buys for the old POTF2 variant collection, both of these have been missing from my collection for a long time, the USA card short and long saber Darth Vader's. The long saber has some sticker residue to be removed but I'm really pleased with these.

I'm actually waiting on a guy to get back to me who has discovered a **** load of boxed vintage in his loft

chiffy if you pass on the guys details I'll gladly help you chase him up :D

That's a whole lot of nice stuff you've got recently, Slave 1 is fantastic

Thanks DB, it was the ROOster that sorted me out with that beauty. The guy in question only lives round the corner but bad timing means he has to put his newborn baby 1st the inconsiderate little twat! Kids eh?

Look what my wife just found in asda :D

Last wave of vintage collection. Have these 3 already but no way was I leaving them on the shelf and as soon as we got home my daughter claimed them for her collection, we jumped in the car and went back round and picked up Naboo pilot, Republic trooper, Ashoka, and Clone Commander Wolffe for her as well - it was a full on SW shopping frenzy

HAHAH I went to Asda on lunch and got another Emperors Royal Guard! I was in shock!!! Might go back for another Nien Nunb. Also picked up the new cyborg Maul!

Bollocks to this i'm off to Asda's

Any joy? Went back today.... 501st scanned at £5. In a test, went back and bought two more....£5.... So I went back..... You see where this is going?

Went back and they have latest wave of Clone Wars in - so picked up Maul, Savage, Cody and Rex all at £4.99 each :)
Lets hear it for Asda :D

Also got this the other day thanks to stesound - arrived very well protected and I can't wait to create a vintage/modern set up with my scout walkers, tri pod laser cannons and (if I manage to pick up a modern one) radar laser cannons.

Not been to Asda yet but I have heard that there are some great deals to be had. AS for me, I'v ordered this whole wave in a case from a chap on the net I bought off before. Should have it next month.

Been after one of these MPC kits for a while but never managed to get a good price until now.

This kit is exceptional for an older SW kit, usually the quality isn't that good, or there are mistakes on the casting. This is a great kit simply because you get two fighter in one box. The detail for an MPC is really spot on, but sadly, a thing that Finemolds got right, is still missing from this kit, a way to separate the solar panels from the frame work for ease of painting. But, all the detail is there, the pilot actually looks like a Tie Pilot and the horrible rear hatch look of the interceptor has been done away with and replaced with better detailed engine bay. The cockpit is in separate sections for you to build up, as with the Finemolds.

These came yesterday and I'm well chuffed with them, two of the older MPC larger scale X-Wings. Bigger is scale than the snap fit ships, and they do not have those awful flat sided, moulded on blaster cannons.

These two MPC large scale X-wing's came yesterday and they are mint complete, in sealed bags. The one was listed as missing stickers but they are present in both kits, which is a bonus. I have another part built kit in the stocks that needs a little more work as the engine exhausts where put together the wrong way. The long term aim is to make Luke, Wedge and Bigg's X-Wings, with Vader and two Ties chasing behind.

Picked up a POTF2 Jabba's Palace diorama from my friend who was having a clear out. Flimsy doesn't even come close to describing it, but when its covered in figures, it doesn't matter!

Looking good mate is that the latest blue box with oola jabba playset?

Yeah that's the one. Awesome set. It went down to around £20 at most places at the end of last year as the supplier had a clear out! I just wish it had Jabba's tongue that came with the Saga version! Now I am eager to get that the Jabba's Court Denizens set... One day!

......it looks bloody amazing. I have kept nearly all my VC figures carded but when I look at your picture I'm so tempted to open a few up and set up some photo opps!

Superb picture mate, well done.

Do it! haha! No make your own mind up. My view is that when you look on eBay there isn't much difference between carded and loose for modern figures. Plus they were meant to be posed. so much articulation would go to waste!!!

and another shot. still working on the posing (those handcuffs look cool they just don't quite fit!)
