I guess the header says it all - will the new world order serve to kill of Modern toys (not just Star Wars) as we know them.
Chris Cocks has been very quick to point out that Trumps tariff war can only result in the cost of toys going up and while Hasbro will try to offset some of that with design efficiencies (I.e reduced features) - there is no escaping maybe a 20% hike for things also interesting to hear him talk about the move to US manufacturing, but there are no skills or logistical support networks (supply chains) set up to take over, so expect throttled supply.
Given a Black Series figure is already £22+ and TVC figure £16+ can the market really take a jump to £26+ & £18+.... So, things might be about to become harder to find, more expense, and with reduced play/design features, points of articulation etc.
Tough to see Modern stuff surviving that, especially in light of the fact that action figure toys as a whole are already struggling and Hasbro wants to be a games only company.
