Went back and they have latest wave of Clone Wars in - so picked up Maul, Savage, Cody and Rex all at £4.99 each :)
Lets hear it for Asda :D

Also got this the other day thanks to stesound - arrived very well protected and I can't wait to create a vintage/modern set up with my scout walkers, tri pod laser cannons and (if I manage to pick up a modern one) radar laser cannons.

Not been to Asda yet but I have heard that there are some great deals to be had. AS for me, I'v ordered this whole wave in a case from a chap on the net I bought off before. Should have it next month.

Been after one of these MPC kits for a while but never managed to get a good price until now.

This kit is exceptional for an older SW kit, usually the quality isn't that good, or there are mistakes on the casting. This is a great kit simply because you get two fighter in one box. The detail for an MPC is really spot on, but sadly, a thing that Finemolds got right, is still missing from this kit, a way to separate the solar panels from the frame work for ease of painting. But, all the detail is there, the pilot actually looks like a Tie Pilot and the horrible rear hatch look of the interceptor has been done away with and replaced with better detailed engine bay. The cockpit is in separate sections for you to build up, as with the Finemolds.

These came yesterday and I'm well chuffed with them, two of the older MPC larger scale X-Wings. Bigger is scale than the snap fit ships, and they do not have those awful flat sided, moulded on blaster cannons.

These two MPC large scale X-wing's came yesterday and they are mint complete, in sealed bags. The one was listed as missing stickers but they are present in both kits, which is a bonus. I have another part built kit in the stocks that needs a little more work as the engine exhausts where put together the wrong way. The long term aim is to make Luke, Wedge and Bigg's X-Wings, with Vader and two Ties chasing behind.

Picked up a POTF2 Jabba's Palace diorama from my friend who was having a clear out. Flimsy doesn't even come close to describing it, but when its covered in figures, it doesn't matter!

Looking good mate is that the latest blue box with oola jabba playset?

Yeah that's the one. Awesome set. It went down to around £20 at most places at the end of last year as the supplier had a clear out! I just wish it had Jabba's tongue that came with the Saga version! Now I am eager to get that the Jabba's Court Denizens set... One day!

......it looks bloody amazing. I have kept nearly all my VC figures carded but when I look at your picture I'm so tempted to open a few up and set up some photo opps!

Superb picture mate, well done.

Do it! haha! No make your own mind up. My view is that when you look on eBay there isn't much difference between carded and loose for modern figures. Plus they were meant to be posed. so much articulation would go to waste!!!

and another shot. still working on the posing (those handcuffs look cool they just don't quite fit!)

Really evocative diorama there Escapist, nice one.

Thank you Q. Since seeing new figures in Asda I have flitted back to modern collecting for a bit it would seem!!

Heads up, TK Maxx had the Ewok 5 pack (with Kneesa!) for £14.99. Lots of reports of this showing up at every shop!! I found three today, though I only bought one! (the temptation was there to buy two packs for an Ewok army).

Bastard! I'm off away to London for the weekend in half an hour so by the time i get to Maxx in Grimsby they will be gone! Mind you our shops are that **** theyve prob never even heard of SW and the latest thing i saw in there was a jar jar binks moneybox

PS Don't talk ewok in the vintage section, be warned and be afraid mate! :)

Haha yeah not much love for Ewoks... I now have 23 of the modern ones. I think that's all of them! Just after Teek from the Ewok films. And they are releasing two new ones with a new catapult in the Summer!

Nice addition to my vintage/modern collection

I am using my Hoth Scout Walker to match the vintage - there is a brand new Endor Walker sealed in the box if anyone wants it?
Cheers
Colin.

Opted to take a short break from vintage after getting some of Vintage Collection figures from Asda recently. Now I have fallen back in love with modern. These came this week courtesy of Chewbaccadave, who heard my pleas for a Jabba's Court Denizens set... and so much more...

I'll take some decent shots of my set up soon, but for now here's Bubo in his new home with his new loving owner....

That loose display is getting better and better by the minute mate. I've got that Denizens set but i aint got the gonads to take them off the card :)

Haha I think loose Denizens are worth the same as carded!! I'd never do it to a vintage piece but the modern deserve to be played with! Nearly got every Jabba's palace goon from the modern selection. Just need three more and they are pretty much all from the Legacy Collection. Which are a bitch to find over here it would seem.

Giran and Nikto Gunner from the Legacy line for Jabba's palace, but the hardest one to get (at a good price at least) is BG-J38, which was the Build A Droid for the last wave of the Legacy collection.

He's on the bay but at an absolute fortune..... He's a 'blink and you'll miss it' droid visible in one shot of ROTJ. Still looks bad-ass though....

Also after Hrchek Kal Fas for the Cantina and I'm pretty much done with Cantina characters too!

You don't know how many years i've been after a TC-14! Finally got it from the US and including shipping costs it still worked out cheaper than i could find it for on UK Ebay!

Nice haul there. Have a few of these but looking to complete my Jabba's Palace.

Managed to get Ewok 5 pack from TK Maxx as well as AT-ST crew and 2 pack Ewok. Prefer the at-st crew on the box photo though......curse you product may vary!

Just spent the week in EuroDisney, not as much SW stuff as i might have thought, but enough. picked up the Ewok 5 pack for the little one (Back off haters there's nothing wrong with an Ewok :)) although the price was rubbish, there were a few other bits but I found these European versions of two old parady two packs, well they have french on the back but other than that they are the same as the older US versions, the only major difference is they appear to be marketed as a set of two and as they were only 10 Euro's each i figured why not.

Awesome stuff! Going there in two months and my son loves the Disney crossover figures so will save a bit extra!!!

Have you seen the Cars inspired Star Wars die casts? Coming out in the US park for the SW Weekends. I'm a bit in love with them!

Very cool. Might have to keep an eye out :)

They had almost all of serise 2 - 5 of the Parady/crossover figures as well as a fair few Hasbro Vintage sets, ewoks and Endor stuff mostly. The build your own saber station was fun as well. Enjoy the trip.
