latest film/ dvd you have seen

Born 4th July, very powerful shows how ****d up guys can get, its very sad. Oliver Stone at his best. Oh also platoon is also up there.

Off work sick today, so laid up in bed watching SKY Movies and have to say I have watched some utter rubbish, struggling to understand how I got through them all, but I guess I have the excuse of being ill...

- Get Hard (Will Ferrell) - the best of the lot today
- Just Before I Go (Seann William Scott) - bad, but not the worst
- Mountain Men (Chase Crawford) - nothing to redeem it, even the scenery is poorly filmed, utter crap
- Unfinished Business (Vince Vaughn) - Really had the potential to be funny, but it isn't...

So chaps, there's four to avoid - I expect I'll be watching more rubbish tomorrow!

Never said I was classy!

Right then.. Day two on sick leave, this time on the sofa rathe than the bed, but no less delirious or distracted thought this latest selection of nonsense:

- John Wick (Keanu Reeves) - Hit man revenge type tale.. yep, it's Keanu pulling out some Matrix moves, you need to be ill to appreciate it.
- Interstellar (Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway) - In parts this is very, very good, spectacularly shot, but why the hell was the middle 30 minutes still in the final cut, added nothing and almost stopped me watching, which is a shame as the end is worth getting to.
- Paul Blart Mall Cop 2 (Kevin James) - yes, I really am that ill.. good lord, it is up there as one of the worst things I've seen and after yesterday, that is saying something...
- Home (Jim Parsons/Rihanna) - Disney Animation, overall not that bad really and one I would actually recommend!!!
- Night at the Museum 3 (Ben Stiller) - worst of the three (unsurprisingly), shame really as I loved the first one.

Popped down to Cineworld to watch The Revenant.
Recommended as a very good film with solid acting.
Di Caprio is really turning out great performances. Wolf of Wall St. and Django Unchained also come to mind.

This thread is becoming some kind of confessional for me this week... I really do usually watch decent movies.. honest...
Here though is my last of the day:

- Horrible Bosses 2 - not sure if its worth bothering with a review.. Jennifer Aniston in her underwear is the highlight.

Keanu Reeves, Kevin James, Rihanna and Ben stiller!? That's actually a worse list than day 1! Lol

I have no shame... lol

What's on today's list then? I'm struggling to think of any worse actors. Maybe a day of chick flicks and rom coms?

Sadly I have returned to the office today, so the world of straight to DVD/SKY Premier movies will have to carry on without me today...

I just watched this at the weekend:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0092240/

One of the best films I've seen for ages! Had never heard of it before, was recommended it by a friend. It's like a **** 80s b-movie but with half-decent acting and special effects. No doubt inspired by the popularity of Knight Rider at the time. Really enjoyed it :)

Wow, never heard of that. I thought I had all the 80s stuff nailed. Will order it on Lovefilm.

Watched The Man With The Iron Fists. Recorded off the TV. Russell Crowe, Lucy Liu, set in the past in China, a Kung-Fu movie that with these names should have been well known. Clearly it was gonna be crap. It was, but had it's moments, with very good make-up and gore.

The Devils Double. Dominic Cooper playing Saddam Hussein's son, and his son's body double. I heard lots of documentaries about him, and all the stories come up in this film. Very good underrated film.

Had a day off work so what else to do but go and watch the 12:30 screening of Deadpool.
There's a new king of the Marvel franchise.

Finally got "Inside Out" in from Lovefilm. Been dying to watch it from all the rave reviews. People, that is one of the best stories of any film. It was bang on, it never missed a step. Be prepared to cry your eyes out though. I was at least 3 times :D
