Me three! Fell down towards the end- over ambitious + loads of plot holes. Watched it with friends and we all laughed out loud when the robot first appeared :lol: WFT?! Looked like it had escaped from the set of a 1970's Dr Who episode. That said, had some good moments, looked great (apart from the bot!) and loved the soundtrack 8)

Watched the Dark Knight Returns and Batman and Son animated movies. Simply amazing. Peter Welker is great as an older Bruce Wayne.

Watched Fury last night thought it was ok but was expecting more. The battle scenes were amazing and I only looked at the clock a couple of times to see how long was left, a solid 7/10. Worth 2 hours of your life, just.

Watched Bladerunner in the cinema last night. It was some special/new/Director's cut, that didn't seem any different to me. Still a quality film, if a bit weird.

AGE OF ULTRON....

Ok, so I am a huge super heroes fan but by no means a bandwagoner, so as much as I wanted to love this film i won't wax lyrical about it just because everyone else is, I'll wax lyrical about it because it was bloody brilliant.

Darker and a little more thoughtful than the first group outing, it builds on the last few films (even guardians), sets up the next few but stands nicely on its own. There are character journeys a plenty, draw dropping action, plenty of comic silliness, wry humour and snappy banter.

It does feel a little heavy in places as there really is so much going on, but it is all enjoyable stuff so easily forgiven. Personally I love how the Maximoff twins are used, that was a worry for me ahead of the film, they appeared chucked in for the sake of it, but quite the opposite, there serve a strong purpose in the narrative and as part of the teams journey.

The final act is a touch silly, and while James Spader is fantastic as Ultron, if anything he under does it, which is saying something, but again, you are along for the ride.

Don't wait for this to hit bluray, this one must be seen on the biggest, baddest, loudest screen you can find.

Saw Age of Ultron last night. I was a bit disappointed TBH.

It's no more than your bog standard super hero/comic book movie. Some great special effects but the plot was pretty predictable and nothing new. TBH the whole thing was just a bit......meh.

It's not a bad film. If you like comic book or super hero movies you'll enjoy it and it did kill two hours quite well, but it's one of those films you watch and then forget about. Just more generic Hollywood dross, and the end credits did include a clip of what I assume is the next instalment :roll:

If they insist on flogging films like this to death could they not at least make Scarlett Johansson get her bloody tits out?

Yeap. I actually asked the missus if we could go after the SW trailer.

Sounds and looks great on the big screen. The X-wings over the water had me feeling like a kid again.
