That book is unreadable! The first 13 chapters are impossible to follow. The last 6-7 are great yeah, bit the first two thirds or so are absolutely unreadable.
the whole story of the silmarrils and Morgoth's jealousy of them is tolkien's masterpiece. Feanor was an amazing Elvish character. He didn't even want to write TLOTR and the Hobbit was only a chidren's story. The only part which was **** is how easy it was to capture Morgoth multiple times. Hated the plan he had for Turin to kill Morgoth and thus the whole saga.
Thanks for the comments and advice with regards to taking my son to watch the Hobbit.
He absolutely loved it, he's never sat so still in his life. At the end (3hrs including the adverts) he couldn't believe it was over, "No way Dad, it can't be over, this film is nearly 3 hrs long, we've only been sat here for an hour I'd say!"
 My son was the same and very disappointed to be waitin a year for the next. I was bursting for a piss for the whole second half, they'll have to put intervals back in they way they're going!
I watched 'Zero Dark Thirty' the other night and I thoroughly enjoyed it,well worth a watch.Kathryn Bigelow has done it again.
Last night I watched 'Django Unchained' and I have to say it was pretty awesome, definitely a must see.
Christoph Waltz was just as fantastic as he was in 'Inglourious Basterds',stellar performance.
Just watched the new Texas chainsaw movie at the flicks, what an utter load of shite, although the two chicks in it are well worth one and the camera spends a lot of time on one of there arses which was a bonus.
Watched The Help which was very good tho a little simplistic and overly-sentimental in parts. 4/5
And Dredd which was not as bad as i thought it was going to be but also not great eother. If they'd got an adult to direct it it may have worked better. 2½/5
Saw Stephen King's Bag of Bones. One of the better films bearing his name. Think the book would be good. Doesn't hit misery or dolores claibournes level but enjoyable
