latest film/ dvd you have seen

Whiplash, really enjoyed it. Probably the best movie I've seen in a long time.
Snowtown, a few years old now but possibly the most disturbing movie I've ever seen and its a true story!

Yes, watched that last night. Really good film.
Tho you need to see Ex-Machina as that's significantly higher in terms of best films i've seen this year.

Oh, and i saw Birdman last month. A very average movie. Boring in parts and has a massive cop-out ending. Could be the worst film to ever win a Best Picture Oscar. 3/5

I think that went to show that to win an oscar its about how you market the film to those that matter. A satirical take on superhero movie.. I bet the snobs of the academy hate seeing big budget men in tights films and wanted to make a trite point. Like a scorned teen lover.. I agree, it was yawnsome. I've seen better takes on hollywood nonsense on curb your enthusiasm. I will praise the way it was filmed.. the 'single shot' technique will probably inspire a load of wannabees just like the found footage style was aped to ****.

I know it's an older movie, but saw Shaun of the dead the other night.

Awesome.

Have even met Simon Pegg as well 8)

He's even seen my collection :D

Talking of Taken 3 I watched "A Walk Among Tombstones" last night which is another Liam Neeson film. Also very good I thought, pretty similar to his normal role in films and a bit more violent than usual.

Watched the Lego Movie with family last week, thought it was really good and children loved it.
Great family entertainment - 8/10. :)

I saw that too.

Not seen Neeson in many films accept Love Actually and TPM.

Now it seems everything he's in a him shooting, punching someone. Is that his usual role?

Not very Jedi like! :D

Part of me really wanted to see that, but was concerned it was more of family/kids movie, so didn't want to sit in the cinema on my own amongst kids and families! :?

 Yeah think you made the right choice, watch it at home.

I just watched Return of the Jedi. What a ****ing great film it is! 8) I try and watch the films every couple of years to keep them fresh but I usually have them on in the background while doing something else, I made a point of actually watching it this time  I can highly recommend the 'de-sepcialized' HD versions, as good as we'll get until Disney pull their finger out :)

Now don't laugh, I watched...................um Frozen at the week end. My 2 best mates have daughters (the girls had watched the film at least 5 times before) but wanted to watch it again and I had no choice but to sit through it.

I usually hate Disney films, but really quite enjoyed this one.

Well done Disney one of your better efforts!

Any objections if I ban him for that?

Watched Gone Girl last night: good film but not as good as Fincher's earlier awesome efforts:

Alien 3
The Game
Seven
Fight Club
Zodiac
