latest film/ dvd you have seen

fury was utter crap and a complete waste of time i thought , the scene with the tiger
also watched american sniper the other night and it was awesome , it was well directed by clint eastwood and acted by bradley cooper

bit late but have no time, today i watched Edge of Tomorrow 3D

A military officer is brought into an alien war against an extraterrestrial enemy.
I like this 3D pop Outs, good movie for me 8)

Just been on holiday and managed to watch some films on the plain.

Dawn of the planet of the apes - Not bad bit predictable 7/10. :)

Gaurdians of the galaxy - Shocking whoever wrote the script shouldn't be aloud near a pen 4/10.

The inbetweeners 2 - Very funny was cracking up all the way through it, take it at face value 8/10

I have to say though watching films on a plain is a bit like watching a really bad pirate copy from the 90's so might have enjoyed Gaurdians of the galaxy more at home.

I thought exactly the same about Guardians... I also watched it on a plane as everyone recommended it, I thought It was poor... Maybe it is the plane screen dulling the experience?

Just watched birdman, and to be honest i wasn't impressed at all, a very weird film, i can see why its up for oscars, they like the oddball stuff, but it wasn't for me.
As for Gaurdians of the galaxy, i liked it a lot, saw it in the theatre, definately better there

i watched gone girl last night, another award winning film i found dissapointing. it was difficult to believe and just generally flawed through out for me.

still worth a watch to see what all the fuss is about but i wouldnt go in with high expectations as i found it easy to pick apart im afraid.

Who is gonna admit to having seen 50 shades of gray?

Come on, i know one of you "got dragged by the missus" fess up!

Jabba, i'm looking at you!

I watched Moneyball for the first time last night, since seeing it at the cinema on release; just as good and highly recommended, wife enjoyed it too, so no need whatsoever to be into sports films or baseball to get into it... though I expect Brad Pitt being the lead helped me convice her to watch it!

I do plan on seeing the first two at some point.

I like a bit of vigilante revenge justice in the hands of someone skilled! 8)

Watched a few over the last week.

Ex-Machina - fantastic movie. 4/5
American Sniper - If you can get over the generous lashing of patriotic nonsense it's not a bad movie. 3.5/5
Gandhi - One of those films i had never got round to seeing. It's a great movie, if a bit long! 4/5
The Guest - I read on line this was a brilliant psychological thriller. It's not. It's mainly ****. 2.5/5
Munich - Another one i had not got round to seeing. Really good but loses it's way a little towards the end. 3.5/5
Big Hero 6 - Really good sci-fi animation. It'll do more for kids than grown-ups but still very good. 3.5/5
Oh, and i saw Birdman last month. A very average movie. Boring in parts and has a massive cop-out ending. Could be the worst film to ever win a Best Picture Oscar. 3/5

I also saw Taken 3 last night, loved it! Thought the second was a bit too similar to the first but this one was a good twist on the story I thought, not what I was expecting. I also loved the bad guy, won't spoil it for those who haven't seen it but it reminded me of the kind of cool ridiculous flamboyant bad guys you got in 80s Arnie movies :)
