latest film/ dvd you have seen

World War Z - nice action/zombie film were the zombie don't eat brains or guts!, very enjoyable

Fast & The Furious 6 - I love this franchise, I love the rock  but what a pile of shite!!

Now You See Me - Good film, worth a watch

Upside Down - Crap!

Hopefully tonight either The Croods or The Hangover Pt.3

Enjoyed Fast 6 as well, good nonsense fun, likewise Olympus Has Fallen, just fun.

Watched The Look of Love, great to see Steve Coogan flexing his acting muscles and while the film is compelling to watch it is ultimately a tragic one so bear that in mind before you put it in the player to watch.

Just watched 21 and Over. Despite walking down a well trodden road it does manage to remain entertaining and enjoyable.

Watched World War Z last night. Actually quite enjoyed it. Not a bad film for the most part but the ending is WAAAAAY cheesy. Typical american, hollywood bullshit. I thought it needed some kind of ****ed up dark twist at the end to really be worth the time and money. Not the "look after yourselves... and each other" type ending it had. Lame.

i pissed mesen at the scene in the plane where it crashes, and brad is just still strapped in his seat, both him and sinead o connor are fine :)

it was cheesey but first film ive enjoyed watching for a while.

saw it a the pictures and i remember thinking where's the blood at , all the bites and the hand cutting off scene ....no blood at all

Watched a few films of late.

1 - Grassroots. Actually an enjoyable watch, nothing special but a pleasant hour and a half with nothing better to do.

2 - Dead man down. Despite the poor reviews this was actually very watchable. Nothing too original but the cast is watchable and there enough to hold interest.

3 - Byzantuium. Very enjoyable given it is more of a romantics take on vampires. Gemma Arterton never hurts but don't watch this if you are all about the blood and guts but don't be put off, the characters are well drawn, the acting solid and the plot engaging.

One more for the day.

Just finished watching Mud. I won't spoil it but this is a good film, the young actors are out f this world good, emotionally strong stuff, engaging and rewarding. Loved it.

I thought Star Trek was an utter pile of ****. Always have.

However, I enjoyed the first movie and really enjoyed the second in the JJ reboot. The old Spock was crap and unnecessary but overall a thumbs up from me.

Agree on this

Just watched into darkness, worth a watch IMO, cumberwhatsisname was really good I thought as the villain

Daw Ted whilst in the Dam with the Mrs, very funny indeed. But I do have a very immature sense of humour

Watched a couple of films today.

Behind the candelabra - big hype and good performances but I found the film uninspiring and ultimately dull. The drama was in dramatic, the tension loose and flabby and overall it was just to nice to the character to give of any sense of the true over the top life of the subjects, I wouldn't bother.

After Earth - roundly panned by critics so I had no expectations but was surprised that I engaged and enjoyed this. Not a great film but nowhere near as bad as it has been made out, the kid isn't half as annoying as reported and while smith snr is a little stiff, that is a deliberate interpretation of the character. More of a coming of age story than an out and out action flick, maybe one to watch once you have exhausted your must see list.

I'll echo what Pete said, just watched World War Z and really enjoyed it. The ending felt rushed given the build up but then I read the studio originally wanted to make a trilogy but filming was so you they decided to make it a one shot film and altered the ending to match, but then.... Because it has done so well there will now be a sequel.

On a side note how much fun would being a movie exec be, always changing your mind and playing with millions of dollars of other people's money and seemingly untouchable....

Also watched Snitch and really enjoyed that. I am a big Dwayne Johnson fan... No really i am, I even like the tooth fairy. Anyway I thought this was a good film, more of a dramatic flick than an out and out action movie, well worth a watch.

Watched the purge the other day, great idea and a pretty good film to boot. Does make you think about what would happen if that happened

Man of steel - stick to watching marvel superheroes, I found it boring for a 3rd attempt at an origins story. Although some neat special effects.

Lovelace - pretty good bio-pic, ended up downloading the infamous '72 movie it's about, yuk how hairy!!! :(

Planes - my son loves cars, and although it's a bit of a cars rip off with racing planes it's pretty fun to watch.
