I can't watch the Deerhunter. I DESPISE Meryl Streep. No idea why. But as soon as she comes on screen I just wanna smash the TV.

Jeez Weasel, it's one of the greatest movies ever made!

Watched Avengers assemble to see what the hype was about. Didnt care for it. Doubt I'll watch any of the other Marvel films. Watched the two Batman's with Michael Keaton which were ok. Turned Dark Knight off after 20 minutes. I just can't get into Superhero films.

Agreed

Didn't mind the first Spider-Man , and as you say the Keaton batman

But Marvel films just jumping on the bandwagon IMO

My wife had never seen The Deerhunter so watched it the other night, forgot ton what a cracking film that was, good watch :D

Agreed, Avengers did nothing for me. Could not understand what people liked about it at all. The X-Men films are WAY better. They're not classics but in a different league to Avengers. And i'm not even gonna talk about Hulk, Thor etc etc. Jeez.

If you get the chance to watch the French film "Tell No One" please do so.
Its a French screenplay of the novel penned by American thriller writer Harlan Coben, my favorite author.
I took a punt a few months ago and suggested this to a bunch of lads who had nothing better to do that night apart from watch a movie on a laptop, they all thought it was great.
You won't be disappointed.

Will definitely check that out. 8)

watched " the purge " last night , its set in the future where hardly any crime exsists ....well Except for one night in the year when all crime is legal , decent movie guys

would recommend prestige and conjuring
also finally watched a episode of mrs browns boys other night and i was in tears .its a programme thats on after me bed time but will now stop up to watch it

just watched world war Z, really liked it, some silly parts but i enjoyed the whole film which is a rarity :)

would deffo recommend if you are a zombie fan as its not the usual zombie crap eating guts and stuff

World War Z & Fast & Furious 6 are on this weekends to watch list, I will report back on those.

However I managed to watch Iron Man 3 last week, which I would say is the poorest out of the trilogy imo, and also Star Trek Into Darkness, which I didn't like, but my missus did bizarre!!

Yeah i just watched both of those. Iron Man was sub-par and Star Trek was only so-so. Was expecting better, i really liked the first one. There's lots going on but nothing you're ever really given time or reason to care about.

i liked the new star trek movie i must admit  , another movie i did watch as well the other night was " only god forgives " boy was it crap , it was that crap i even fell asleep

Tried watching Cool Hand Luke yesterday on Freeview ...got distracted and never really knew what was going on. Is it good? :?

Yeah it's great. Bit light on the cgi sadly.

I thought Star Trek was an utter pile of ****. Always have.

However, I enjoyed the first movie and really enjoyed the second in the JJ reboot. The old Spock was crap and unnecessary but overall a thumbs up from me.

Just seen Riddick at the cinema and was pleasantly surprised. This pulls back to the Pitch Black take and while it feels familiar it is edgy and brutal enough to hold your attention, maybe not the as scary as Pitch Black but vey good and worth a watch

I saw it on Friday. It's ok. Pretty much does what it says on the tin. By no means a classic, but if you've got two hours to kill it's a decent enough way to do it.

If you liked the first two......

Just watched Oblivion

Got to admit for my sins bit of a TC fan but this one just left me thinking Mmmm :?:

Pretty weak story line, bit Matrix in reference and scene where he is shooting down drones, referencing Star Wars, it all wraps up in the last 10 mins very weakly .....so it's one of those where I don't know wether I liked it or not

Double header at the cinema again today.

1st up - We're the Millers. In a phrase this was pant wettingly funny. It treads the line between gross out and situational perfectly and layers on just the right amount of sentimentality to make you care. A very enjoyable two hours and you get Jeniffer Aniston as a stripper... nuff said.

2nd - Worlds End. Bit late in getting around to this but hey it was worth the wait. A different sort of comedy from the first two films (Saun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz) but the same themes are present and there are plenty of laugh out loud moments mixed in with the insightful interspective moments. The film manages to twist and turn around on itself enough to keep you engaged and offers a satisfying end. Oh and any film that can get the line '**** off back to Legoland you ****' into its dialogue is a winner for me :)

watched olimpus has fallen....diehard meets the rock
star trek ,enjoyable
django unchained .....not impressed think i,m board with qt now
insidious 2 ..........well kfc was nice thats all i,ll say
