Looks like I'm going to the Cinema for this one, buying all the seats so I can watch it in peace

I watched the original on Friday night. I'd forgotten just how good it was. Clearly head and shoulders above the others, and a very different type of film. It tries to scare you using suspense, whereas the newer ones just seem to be glorified shoot 'em ups!

Watched ANVIL, the story of ANVIL. Anyone who likes a good Rockumentary will get a kick outta this one. I know it's been around for a while but it's a great little story, like a real life Spinal Tap without the 12inch Stone Henge :lol:

Story of Anvil is awesome.
My 1st degree was in film production. So I hate films now. Story of Anvil is beautiful. Really feel for lips. Was almost to the point of tears at some points.

The other night I watched Rambo 1,4,2,3.
I actually enjoyed 1.
Thought 4 was extremely violent. Never feel comfortable in using contemporary issues of people's suffering for a Hollywood action narrative. The scene with the .50 cal shooting the guy at point blank was spectacularly graphic.
Rambo 2. So much controversy when this came out. There isn't much to it and the cold war narrative hasn't helped it age.
Rambo 3. Almost unwatchable. Rambo helps the seeds of 9/11 take out he ruskys. Plays like team America trying to take itself seriously.
Dead mans shoes is a bit like Rambo.
