Tarantino's best maybe??

Wow, no! Not even close! Good film. A lot of fun but not even a touch on Pulp Fiction. Or Reservoir Dogs for that matter.
Well it's all a matter of opinion, for me res dogs is gash. ;)
Technically yes, tho it is getting to the point where opinion and fact begin to rub shoulders. Like: "were the Beatles any good at writing songs?", "Was Henrix any good on the guitar?", "Is Godfather I better than Godfather III?". You do have the honour of being the first person in 20 years i've heard say that Reservoir Dogs is no good. I've heard way more people say they think the Beatles had no talent. But like you say, it is (technically) a matter of opinion.

Saw Hannibal last night on TV.

Long time since i've seen that one. Two disturbing scenes - the hanging of the police Inspector and the brain eating scene ...and then feeding some brain to a child

Two thumbs up 8)

No wife or kids this weekend so two trips to the cinema... I know how to live.

Alpha Pappa (Alan Partridge) - nothing to say really, it does everything it says on the tin, if you love Alan you will love this film, It was the usually mix of cringe worthy pant wettingly funny stuff.

Now You See Me - I will start by saying I loved this film, the acting is spot on the cast works flawlessly together the script is sharp and the concept fun. All that said the final effect is a very very good film but maybe not a great film. Overall the director could have credited his audience with a little more intelligence, the film is based around magic, so leave a little out there. S I wondered if a different director could have done a better job maybe a Nolan or a Singer and then it struck me, they have. now you see me is a good film and I will be buying the Bluray to watch again, but if you want a great caper based on misdirection watch Usual Suspects, Prestige or even Inception. Actually you should watch those films anyway :)

The Usual Suspects :? I must have missed something with that flick because it made no sense to me whatsoever. Same thing with Inception. Just didn't get it. Shame with Usual Suspects because I heard good things and i like Kevin Spacey.

Watched Spring Breakers - not at all what I expected, very surreal film, wouldn't call it enjoyable but certainly engrossing and captivating.

Another odd mix here.

The Place Beyond the Pines - hard to sum this film up. In some ways it is a classical three act piece with the narrative being handed to a fresh lead or central character in each act. It is an interesting examination of action and consequence and the inevitability of becoming your father. Absorbing and intense, one to watch but don't think it is a light watch, it isn't, but it is worth watching.

Casa De Me Padre - or Will Ferrel makes a spagettie spoof Mexican Wester Drug thing in Spanish. I think that about covers it - this one is bat **** off the wall, funny in places, sends up the old style Mexican/western film and production values. One for the die hard Ferrel fans really.

I just downloaded this! Looking forward to it. I like Will Ferrell when he goes a little left of middle. Just watched Everything Must Go which i really liked.

Managed to catch a few films over the last fortnight....

Spring Breakers - Very strange film, Franco plays a very strange rapper/gangster!, I was hoping for more bikini action but it never came!!!

Olympus Has Fallen - If you need an action fix, watch this....AWESOME!!!!

The Great Gatsby - One for the ladies, a love story with DiCaprio in it, quiet a long film aso get comfy.

Watched Hansel and Grettal: Witch hunters last night and wreck it Ralph tonight. Both excellent films. Hansel and Grettal is good if you like blood and gore, surprised me how gory it actually was. Wreck it Ralph is well put together, good story line and animation.

Watched Avengers assemble to see what the hype was about. Didnt care for it. Doubt I'll watch any of the other Marvel films. Watched the two Batman's with Michael Keaton which were ok. Turned Dark Knight off after 20 minutes. I just can't get into Superhero films.

Agreed

Didn't mind the first Spider-Man , and as you say the Keaton batman

But Marvel films just jumping on the bandwagon IMO

My wife had never seen The Deerhunter so watched it the other night, forgot ton what a cracking film that was, good watch :D

I can't watch the Deerhunter. I DESPISE Meryl Streep. No idea why. But as soon as she comes on screen I just wanna smash the TV.
