sooo... thanks to the legend that is Nick (mini99) I have now finished my moc run (bar Yak...) with this stunner
also couple of bits from my wife for Xmas and bday both fit the r2 focus so excuse the clones piece.. but it's v cool!! so collecting goal achieved for 2021 everything else is a bonus!! will post some pics of the full run tmrw on my thread

Got this lovely Probot droid chucked in with my Hoth imperial attack base the misses bought me for Christmas but it was missing a leg, so today I received the well travelled leg all the way from Utah

The stand I bought from Iains display accessories (Thank you Neil) which looks the business

Got to say I am chuffed to bits

Last year's goals were: 2020
1. Complete the 12/20 back MOC run - 6 left, all the expensive ones! :roll:
2. Leia Hoth on a Tri Logo with as mint a card and bubble as possible. - been looking for ages for a mint one.
3. ROTJ Biker Scout blaster MIB.
4. ESB Han Solo MOC
5. ESB C3PO Removerable Limbs MOC
6. ESB R2D2 Solid Dome MOC

And the outcome:
1. Still need 4, so not too bad.
2. No...came close on one occasion, but that doesn't count does it :roll:
3. No
4. Yes and it's a Palitoy one.
5. No, I forgot this one...
6. Yes.

Only one month into 2021 and I've managed to add numbers 3 and 5.
I have wanted a Biker Scout Pistol since I saw one at a toy fait in the late 90s but never got round to buying one for one reason or another...but have one now with a reasonable box, complete with a "we care leaflet" and ROTJ catalog and the two ties. I stripped it down and after a full clean of the contacts and a few minutes of spinning the motor it is back to how it was 35 years ago.

I need Yak MOC to complete my run too... it took a while but I've got to the point where I'm happy enough without it.

I'm delighted to finally get a Force Beam today having wanted one ever since seeing the ads on the back of Star Wars Weekly. It was sold as not working but a bit if tinkering got it fired up again!

It's missing the handguard, if anyone has one for sale please? Either loose, or as part of a beat up Force Beam, would be great.

One stage thing is that Marvel allowed this advert for a non official Star Wars items, I guess the comics industry just didn't care.

Once again SWFUK leads the charge in gorgeous new SW acquisitions. The last couple of pages alone: PBP AT-AT Driver, yoghurt store display poster (no idea they even existed, congrats Andy, awesome find) and a super example of a solid belly Palitoy Taun-Taun box. Brilliant.

People never cease to amaze me. Being an eternal cynic I still get caught out by random acts of generosity and kindness which makes me check myself. Then the world carries on doing it's whole 2020 thing and I settle back into comfortable cynicism Having bid strongly in ebay for the super gorgeous Trilogo Rebo band (been after such a blue Max and such a nice box forever, well, 5 years), a conversation with the seller reveals it's none other than SWFUK's kieatky. I say something like "Oh, it was you that got hold of the T+H poster one Ebay"....and before you know it Kieron has said "have it". As in, have it. Despite protestations (OK, I didn't make them too strongly) and offers to pay at least something, a token amount ( I did try much harder at that) he wouldn't hear of it and sent it with Max.

I'm so grateful, Kieron. Thank you so much. Been after this for 2-3 years and a saved search on eBay has stubbornly refused to turn up even one example. I'm going to get a proper mount that fits it but for now this will have to do.

Finally, before I go: anyone ever seen the "L" in a circle stamped on any toys before? My theory is it's a dealer's or toy shop's stamp.

Great Han [mention]lejackal[/mention] and nice Vader collectors case [mention]Gadders[/mention] I've always fancied one of those.

Finally after looking for want feels like ages I've managed to find a bubble to complete this figure and cardback.
I couldn't believe my luck to not only finally find a bubble but it was an attached bubble on three sides from a cut card of the same one that i was looking to repair.
So no repair work needed (thankfully) I just slipped Han inside and slide the bubble into place in a GW case and here's the end result.
