I've been down vectis this morning and had a chat with cathy and a look at the goodies and I can say that the 12 back luke is case fresh ,had it in my hand and it was flawless and the others pieces were superb the tri logos are in superb condition and the 21 backs all are high end condition I'm guessing prices are going to fly as I witnessed last night on ebay a 12 back B luke skywalker afa70 sold for nearly £1300 for a afa70 ! The luke 12 backs are going up big time in value :( Ide show a link but I'm not that tech savvy sorry .

I've received a good 40-50 photos this morning thanks to Kathy at Vectis; mostly last 17 tri-logos, the 30bk Yoda and the Palitoy 12 backs. The photos and descriptions are excellent. If anyone wants specific photos then I can forward them on and save Kathy doing it all over again. I have photos of the following lots:

1071
1072
1077
1078
1101
1102
1103
1104
1105
1106
1107
1110
1111
1112

Yes, the Palitoy 12 backs are very impressive. I do wonder how many more there are to come. Is this the last lot of the 12 backs, does anyone know?

Hi how does the vectis auction work? If you register with them and bid on an item and win it what happens next? Do they post it if you live overseas? Or do you have to collect it in person? And if so how long do they hold the item? Are there fees for holding it?

Vectis will post the item to you but be prepared to wait up to 6 weeks for postage. Don't know how much they charge.

If anyone wants stuff collected from Vectis I should be going there on Thursday all being good. Please remember to ensure that you've paid and that you give my name to them as consent. I will also need your full name to collect on your behalf.

We are always happy to supply extra information and images (as long as we have a reasonable length of time ie not a hour before the sale starts 8)

Just email or call us. :D

Best person to speak to is Kathy Taylor or Andrew Reed.

At the present time postage turn around is two - three weeks max, if not before. But you are always welcome to come and collect in person.

forgot about the auction until now - some reasonable tri logo prices. Anyone know what the Palitoy diecast Falcon and Landspeeder went for? And please don't say peanuts

I won the R5. Prices are quite low I think. the Palitoy DS and Xwing less than half the price of previous ones

except for trilogo. they must be the new 'thing' the cool kids collect. :D

Yes some fairly normal trilogo prices for a change, oh wait until you add on the 25% fees and postage! £1100 for a Rebel Commander though - how long until Toni puts one of his on eBay for £1000  £320 for a 2-1B too

That must be a typo for the RC tri? Surely. Picked up tri Paploo- which was the last of my 4 Ewok last 17 needs, so very happy with that, even though I hate ewoks. Seem likes prices look like they have calmed down a bit which is good.

Thought most of the Palitoy 12 backs went for very reasonable money indeed. I'd say the Vader was cheap in today climate. Picked up the one to add to my Palitoy 12 back run. Managing to keep to keep the personal limits I'm willing to spend on these things, so happy.

Also picked up 3 Tri-Logos which I'm happy with (Ben, Luke Jedi and a very nice EV-9D9) and a mixed lot of loose figure which I undoubtedly overpaid for but wanted the thrill of sorting through. Idiot.

Now I need to sell some body parts or something out of the collection to fund it.

I see they misdescribed a nice lot: A Max Rebo band, A-Wing Pilot, Anakin, Imp Gunner and an "R2 sensorscope" which was actually a pop up sabre R2. Will be intersting to see if the sabre is original. Even though it was misidentified as a sensorscope the lot went for about £300 all in which I reckon is about the price for the items, individually, off ebay

A few lots later was another R2 "sensorscope" which I'm pretty sure was another pop up sabre (bad angle but the dome shape screamed pop up). However, the Rebo band in this lot came with repro mic stands which, when coupled with the colour of what may well have been the R2 sabre in the bottom of the baggie rang all sorts of alarm bells.

I'm at a loss as to what is going on. This is my first time on Vectis. I bid on several of the Palitoy cards before going to bed last night (I work nights), bidding the lowest price they've previously sold for, and was highest on a few. Was emailed when I'd been outbid on 2, but didn't put any more. Just woken up at 12.30pm with no emails to say whether I'd won or lost. Am I missing something?

you only get emails if you win, so I'd assume that you've not been lucky this time

Bugger I forgot all about it! Please tell me the Palitoy 12 back Han went for some unattainably stupid price....

It went for reasonable money given there was a score on the back: £1600 hammer so £2,000 in total (if bidding via Invaluable) Here a few results of the bits I was interested in (first price is hammer, second is total including fees):

1072 Imperial Gunner Tri-Logo 170 212.5
1073 Warok Tri-Logo 110 137.5
1076 Barada Tri-Logo 90 112.5
1077 Han Carbonite Tri-Logo 220 275
1078 EV-9D9 Tri-Logo 180 225
1101 C-3PO 12 back Pali (AFA 80 graded) 680 850
1102 Yoda 30b ESB Pali 3200 4000
1103 Darth Vader 12 back Pali 850 1062.5
1104 Luke 12 back Pali 2800 3500
1105 C-3PO 12 back Pali 560 700
1106 Leia 12 back Pali 900 1125 (Note: one arm going pink and body beginning to yellow)
1107 Chewie 12 back Pali 2300 2875
1110 Stormtrooper 12 back Pali 700 875
1111 R2-D2 12 back Pali 800 1000
1112 Han Solo 12 back Pali 1600 2000
