Latest Acquisitions

These chaps turned up today, oddly bought the same day as the uncut label sheet they go with, amazingly quick delivery from Todd Chamberlain in the US to get these here so quick!

Mini focus underway already I feel!

Well this was an interesting little acquisition. I've been watching it a couple of months. It was originally listed as BIN on eBay for £975. I did a previous sales check on eBay and Vectis to see what any had sold for, and the only one was Vectis a few months back for £240 (before commission, so would have been £300 total) and I was wondering if it was the same figure flipped. The price was dropped a couple of times, until it eventually went into a 10 day auction starting at £249. I messaged the seller to ask what the 70 grade was for, and he said the ding in the bubble. If it was the Vectis one, the punch had obviously come loose at some point in transit to the AFA. The seller wanted to know if I wanted to do a deal outside of eBay, as he'd had a lot of interest. He suggested around £500, but I mentioned that I wasn't prepared to go above £300, but I didn't want to do him out of any money, so said to him to let the auction run as he'd surely do better than that. Well it ended as me as the only bidder at £249. Once I had it I examined it and I'm 99.99% certain it is the Vectis one. Touch, so I got it for £50 less than he paid. I hate those style of AFA case, and the punch hanging out, so did my first jail-brake and put it into one of Iain's cases with the punch re-secured. Scary as hell braking the case open as they don't muck about making them bomb-proof. I used a hammer and screwdriver to open a small corner, then carefully worked away at it with pliers until I could slide it out. Happy days :D

Well done matey, looks a beaut. Think i'd have done the same those AFA cases are especially bad. Another expensive Vectis lesson for someone.

More Afa cards being liberated. Love it. £50 plus grading fee wasted. Hopefully a few more lessons like this and these sharks will start to look elsewhere for easy marks.

I get to post on this thread this month, as I have managed to pick up a couple of bits.

Firstly, got this from punk_pat. Don't be confused though, his name is not really pat.

Nice han camo variant with camo lapels. The figure is overstock so its as mint as mint can be.

Then, I got my first purchase from Facebook that came from someone who I didn't already know from a forum. Now how do you make a seemingly boring, run of the mill peg warmer Jedi card interesting. Buy a funky foreign variant. This one didn't break the bank but a nice Kenner Canada Klattu.

I really like the bilingual offer on this card

As well as the plastic wrapped cape in the bubble. I hadn't seen one packed like this before.

Should have put this in the other post but literally as I posted the other post I remembered I had to get this from the post office. I have just got back and Im pretty chuffed. Its not in as bad shape as I thought.

I know there is another thread about it but I thought I would post here first. Im off to ruin theforceuk's saturday afternoon ;)

So, legit palitoy 45C Luke Bespin. If you missed the other thread, spot what is up with this. It is most likely the first and only card that I will be sending for grading.
