Here's my latest.

A UKG ESB stormtrooper from Iain on the forums. Love this first graded piece I've owned.

And then a gamble.

The Han Bespin is a 45 back German General Mills. Bought with full knowledge it could be a Toni. I was 50/50 when I purchased. Now I've got in hand and studied it, whilst referring to the threads on forums I'm feeling 80% certain it's not a Toni. Maybe wishful thinking.

I've posted a thread with some more detailed photos. Would love to here everyone's options on it.

Holy crap Adam and Mr Shifter!
What a bunch of beauties! Bravo :)

I am on cloud nine right now.
I've taken a couple of days leave to help out my 70 year old parents around the house (and loft),
I thought I may find an old Star Wars book, but I wasn't expecting to find some of my old figures!

I sold my collection when I bought a car, but these guys must have escaped the purge!

No VCJ but to say I'm exstatic is an understatement!
The first thing I saw at the back of the attic was my old ATST, then figure after figure!

First figure ever bought Luke FB with well wobbly head and no LS.
My last figure I bought was there; PD
Finally I found my Hoth Wampa hidden behind a box!

These are gonna have to get cleaned up and somehow added to my collection in their own special place.
:D
:D

Adam...awesome pick ups mate, some beauties there :D
MR Shifter...super POTF last 17 s, looks like yo may have a thing for lando :D
Jez...agree ou have to have a special place or your childhood figs, in a way they are he ultimate grails :D

Tell me he's not drawn a cock on the inside of the original box

Very sweet indeed Jez 8) that Leia looks mint!!!! best loft find in a long time :) reckon you'll be taking some of those figures to bed tonight

It's not often I feel compelled to throw around platitudes but I love this piece - many congrats on the acquisition Aaron.

...so it's even more of a surprise that I'm going to do it again:

.....i saw this in a photo take at the time around 15 years ago then about two year later i saw a picture of it in a house in someones collection i could not tell if it was a child's collection or a collectors display then nothing till last week then it came up for sale and i knew what it was as soon as Mark told me about it , i had to have it , something i thought might have been lost or destroyed years ago but no it survived :-)

its british its a promo item and its Palitoy , it dose not get any better than that for me , now to start to restore it to its former glory ....

.... enjoy and if anyone has photos of its early life i would love to see them thanks

jason

Superb shop display - one helluva restoration job required but this must have been a little boys wet dream around Xmas '85. I would imagine that John Lewis had it for the '85 Christmas sales push after it was used at the toyshow. Good luck restoring it to its former glory and I can't wait to see the end result.

Regards,
Christian

great buys everyone

Glad you like it poncho

When my old dear heard I was finally cataloguing my childhood vintage collection, she disappeared upstairs, came back and presented me with this... one she'd bought for herself back in '85 because she liked Yoda so much... Speechless! Nice one mum.

been busy running 4 shows in 4 countries in 4 weeks so just had time to down load my photos and some of the things i bought on my travels , one thing that people on here are going to love is this a 1985 toyshow display for that years figures

i saw this in a photo take at the time around 15 years ago then about two year later i saw a picture of it in a house in someones collection i could not tell if it was a child's collection or a collectors display then nothing till last week then it came up for sale and i knew what it was as soon as Mark told me about it , i had to have it , something i thought might have been lost or destroyed years ago but no it survived :-)

its british its a promo item and its Palitoy , it dose not get any better than that for me , now to start to restore it to its former glory

the last bit of info came from its owner of 18 year that said it came from a Manager of a John Lewis the shop was sent this to use for a big display one year and after it was used he took it home for his kids then it was no longer wanted this collector got it around 18 year ago.

it still has the Han in Carbonate case on the wall in the palace part the only figure part to still be attached , now i have to buy loads of figures to put them back on after it is restored , i have to to also try to work out what vehicles that was on it also ? there is a Sarlaac pit on there so i am wondering as it was for toy fair if it had the vehicles that had not come out here ? as this would have been for the year coming ??

if anyone has photos of it at toy fair that would help a lot , i have see images of it there but i cannot remember who had them and i did not get a copy of them it was around 15 years a go ?

enjoy and if anyone has photos of its early life i would love to see them thanks

jason

Hi Jason, wow fantastic display you have bought

Dublinjeff said:
Super Luke EP Aaron....

That display is brilliant Jason. A real piece of SW history. :D

Something quite different for me today. I've always liked the look of Film Cells so decided to pull the trigger on a few original 1977 cells. Have a good few but here are some of my favourite. I have slide mounts on the way to display them properly.

Leia in the control room. Really like this as it reminds me of the cardback

A few X Wing cells including Red Leader. I really liked the shot through the cockpit 8)

Hi Jeff, wow those film cells are awesome 8)

Wow you are so lucky, wish my mum would find something like that for me, cool moc. I love yoda :D

Need to share this one as it really is the last 'figure' i needed to finish the full house and here it is. To be fair the set is quite beat up, the box is tatty and there is conciderable lifting on the bubble, not to mention the yellowing, but somehow it looks great and i couldn't be happier to have the run finished now.
