Absolutely stoked mate Andy is a top man

I'm going to work on the Vader card and reseal for display, the TL skiff is perfect to reseal as well so I ll pick up a minty fig for that and for display.

Never seen the droid cards up close...they are pretty cool :)

great cardbacks mate, resealing eh? sounds interesting have to let me know how that works, i know i have one in the collection from your good self,

Nice cardbacks guys and given that theme here is a new addition for me, never seen a top toys card in the flesh before and am really pleased with this one.

Here's my latest.

A UKG ESB stormtrooper from Iain on the forums. Love this first graded piece I've owned.

And then a gamble.

The Han Bespin is a 45 back German General Mills. Bought with full knowledge it could be a Toni. I was 50/50 when I purchased. Now I've got in hand and studied it, whilst referring to the threads on forums I'm feeling 80% certain it's not a Toni. Maybe wishful thinking.

I've posted a thread with some more detailed photos. Would love to here everyone's options on it.

1 x Rancor Keeper MOC

A few of my latest. The Yoda is a reseal but probably one of my nicest (courtesy of Bluedog). I also just got hold of a Jabba playset minus the box.

Really just need a Walrus Man, Power Droid and Luke x-wing to complete my ESB card run. If anyone has these I would be very interested. Would also consider reseals/beaters or MOC's.

Hi mate, wow beautiful yoda resealed, I also like the cardbacks with the free offers 8)

A rare addition to this thread - continuing my theme of purchasing a few things that I have never owned, I picked up this little beauty -

In addition I traded up my existing ROTJ Stormie for this one - it's AFA80 and a Trilogo bubble but the most interesting bit is that he is packed with two blasters (something I have a mini-focus on)

Oh my god, a Harbert vader moc  that is fantastic mate  Also love the stormie moc with 2 blasters, very cool 8)

Latest addition to the collection. I know it is not in the best of nick but I don't mind. Very happy with the trade i made for a loose incomplete Hammerhead figure......
"AA" Lettered DT saber. Unfortunately, at some point, the inner saber in the top half has been glued in, any idea's to loosen it would be appreciated . Thanks

Hi Jeff my friend, nice dt saber, sounds like a great trade :D

while i have some hard to find cardbacks in my collection (http://starwarscardbacks.tumblr.com), this is one of my real favourites :D

been busy running 4 shows in 4 countries in 4 weeks so just had time to down load my photos and some of the things i bought on my travels , one thing that people on here are going to love is this a 1985 toyshow display for that years figures

i saw this in a photo take at the time around 15 years ago then about two year later i saw a picture of it in a house in someones collection i could not tell if it was a child's collection or a collectors display then nothing till last week then it came up for sale and i knew what it was as soon as Mark told me about it , i had to have it , something i thought might have been lost or destroyed years ago but no it survived :-)

its british its a promo item and its Palitoy , it dose not get any better than that for me , now to start to restore it to its former glory

the last bit of info came from its owner of 18 year that said it came from a Manager of a John Lewis the shop was sent this to use for a big display one year and after it was used he took it home for his kids then it was no longer wanted this collector got it around 18 year ago.

it still has the Han in Carbonate case on the wall in the palace part the only figure part to still be attached , now i have to buy loads of figures to put them back on after it is restored , i have to to also try to work out what vehicles that was on it also ? there is a Sarlaac pit on there so i am wondering as it was for toy fair if it had the vehicles that had not come out here ? as this would have been for the year coming ??

if anyone has photos of it at toy fair that would help a lot , i have see images of it there but i cannot remember who had them and i did not get a copy of them it was around 15 years a go ?

Super Luke EP Aaron....

That display is brilliant Jason. A real piece of SW history. :D

Something quite different for me today. I've always liked the look of Film Cells so decided to pull the trigger on a few original 1977 cells. Have a good few but here are some of my favourite. I have slide mounts on the way to display them properly.

Leia in the control room. Really like this as it reminds me of the cardback

A few X Wing cells including Red Leader. I really liked the shot through the cockpit 8)

Hi Jason, I remember John Lewis in Sheffield having something in there window and it being there for some time too, either exactly the same or very very similar to that piece.

Hi guys! Not posted in a while :-). Been on a MOC mission recently, I'll be posting a showcase shortly showing how I've got on with my quest.

Got this bunch today and thought I'd share.

Some amazing pick ups recently - not really sure where to start - it's also good to see that the replying to every word of praise and copying
threads has stopped as this was making the thread un-readable

Loving the DT Luke, the POTF Yak cardback and the MOCs from Adam (he is catching me up)

However.... that shop display is immense - imagine having something like that as a kid - you would have been in your element - great find JJ

Lots of good stuff posted!

Love film cells Jeff - feels like you're touching the film if you know what I mean.

JJ: we were never posh enough to go to a John Lewis but I would guess that there would be a skiff vehicle in the middle of that display near the Sarlaac and then maybe a couple of mini-rig skiffs too. Around the Ewok village there probably been an Ewok catapult or Glider or two.

Obvioulsy a Jabba Playset in the top bit - maybe a couple of AST-5 outside as guards.

Have you contacted John Lewis direct Jason - I'm pretty sure they have an archive.

i have had a little more info back from my facebook page

i have been told that after toy fare the displays would sometimes go to the bigger account holders like John Lewis and they would form part of a big promotion in the store such as when a Darth Vader would be promoted as turning up one weekend etc .

also i was told this display would have gone to many shops around the country and stay for two weeks or so then get move on .

so the manager that go this one for his kid must have been at the end of the chain of shops that had displayed it ? so jambobbyb this could be the one you saw in Sheffield all troughs years ago ?

good to find out more thanks for the kind words it is going to look great when its finished the restoration will begin soon :-)
